Abstract: A method for transmitting channel state information, and a communication node and a storage medium are disclosed. The method may include, receiving configuration information sent by a second communication node; receiving CSI-RS sent by the second communication node according to the configuration information; measuring the CSI-RS to obtain the CSI, and transmitting the CSI to the second communication node; where the CSI may include a precoding matrix; the configuration information is indicative of a number of CSI-RS antenna ports and a number of antenna ports onto which the precoding matrix is expected to be applied; and the number of CSI-RS antenna ports is smaller than the number of antenna ports onto which the precoding matrix is expected to be applied.
