    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel; a main wiring board; a first wiring board that includes a first feedback line; and a first cable that is removably coupled to the main wiring board and the first wiring board. The main wiring board includes: a first output line; a first input line; a first circuit (a power supply circuit) that outputs a first voltage to the first output line; and a control circuit that is connected with the first input line. The first cable includes: a first forward conductor that directly or indirectly connects the first output line and the first feedback line; and a first return conductor that directly or indirectly connects the first input line and the first feedback line. The control circuit determines whether the first voltage is input, and when an input of the first voltage is determined, starts a display on the display panel.

    Abstract: A display unit includes a first substrate, a transistor, first and second wiring layers, and an insulating film. The first substrate is provided with a display region and a peripheral region. The transistor is provided in the display region, and includes a semiconductor layer, a gate electrode facing the semiconductor layer, a gate insulating film between the gate electrode and the semiconductor layer, and a source-drain electrode electrically coupled to the semiconductor layer. The first wiring layer is provided in the peripheral region, electrically coupled to the transistor, and disposed closer to the first substrate than the same layer as the gate electrode and the source-drain electrode. The second wiring layer is provided on the first substrate and has an electric potential different from the first wiring layer. The insulating film is provided between the second wiring layer and the first wiring layer.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an organic EL display panel having pixels arranged in matrix includes a substrate, pixel electrodes disposed on the substrate for each of the pixels, insulating layers disposed so as to cover each upper part of the pixel electrodes and having not less than three slit-shaped openings extending and arranged in a column direction, partition walls extending in the column direction and partitioning the pixel electrodes in a row direction, organic functional layers disposed on the pixel electrodes and including organic luminous layers configured to cause electroluminescence in each of the openings, and light transmissive counter electrodes disposed on upper parts of the organic functional layers. Levels of top faces of the partition walls are higher than that of the insulating layers. Row-direction widths of openings adjacent to the partition walls in the row direction are larger than row-direction widths of openings not adjacent to the partition walls.

    Abstract: Self-luminous display panel having display region and peripheral region around the display region includes first substrate, insulating resin layer, self-luminous elements, sealing layer, attachment layer, and second substrate in this order. The insulating layer includes inner and outer sublayers with, therebetween, groove provided in the peripheral region and surrounding the display region. The sealing layer includes first-third sublayers respectively including inorganic material, resin, and inorganic material. In range including the display region and extending to at most inner end portion of the outer sublayer, the first-third sublayers are layered in this order. Outside the range, the first sublayer directly contacts the third sublayer. The attachment layer includes: peripheral layer inside peripheral portion of the second substrate; and joining layer in range surrounded by the peripheral layer. The peripheral layer is at least partially on the outer sublayer, and inner end portion of the peripheral layer is outside inner edge portion of the groove.

    Abstract: An organic electroluminescence (EL) display panel includes a substrate; a plurality of organic EL elements; and a sealing layer in this order. In the organic EL display panel, the sealing layer has a three-layered structure in the order of a first sealing layer, a second sealing layer, and a third sealing layer. In the organic EL display panel, the first sealing layer, the second sealing layer, and the third sealing layer each include amorphous silicon nitride. In the organic EL display panel, when composition of the first sealing layer, composition of the second sealing layer, and composition of the third sealing layer are each indicated as SiNx, a value of x in the composition of the second sealing layer is greater than both a value of x in the composition of the first sealing layer and a value of x in the composition of the third sealing layer.

    Abstract: A light-emitting element includes: a light-reflective first electrode; a light-emitting layer above the first electrode; a light-transmissive second electrode above the light-emitting layer; a first light-transmissive layer on the second electrode; and a second light-transmissive layer on the first layer. First optical cavity structure is formed between surface of the first electrode facing the light-emitting layer and surface of the second electrode facing the light-emitting layer. The first optical cavity structure corresponds to, as peak wavelength, first wavelength longer than peak wavelength of light emitted from the light-emitting layer. Second optical cavity structure is formed between the surface of the first electrode facing the light-emitting layer and an interface between the first layer and the second layer. The second optical cavity structure corresponds to, as peak wavelength, second wavelength shorter than the first wavelength. The first and second layers differ in refractive index from each other by 0.3 or greater.
