摘要: A system and method are provided for removing a natural lens and inserting an Intraocular Lens (IOL) into the lens capsule of an eye. Specifically, this is accomplished by inserting the IOL through an opening on the posterior capsule that is created using a focused laser beam. The system includes a laser unit, a detector for creating images of the interior of the eye, and a computer that controls the cooperative functions of the detector and the laser unit. Based on images of the posterior capsule provided by the detector, the computer is used to control movements of the focal point through tissue of the posterior capsule to perform Laser Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB) on posterior capsule tissue. The result is a laser capsulotomy that creates an opening through the posterior capsule allowing the natural lens to be removed and the IOL to be implanted.

摘要: Systems and methods for localizing intraocular lens and/or existing refractive index patterns, to laser write-patterns, and to refractive index patterns in order to modify the refractive index by application of femtosecond laser pulses. OCT-based confocal detection and sectional image systems are provided for localization purposes, the systems being particularly suitable for the detection of phase patterns in addition to the localization of the IOL. With respect to laser write-patterns, the modification of existing refractive index patterns in the IOL is carried out by destroying existing structures or supplementing existing refractive index patterns.

摘要: An ophthalmic laser surgical apparatus includes an XY scan unit, a light guiding optical element, an objective lens, and a Z scan unit. The XY scan unit includes a deflecting device for deflecting the pulsed laser beam, and scans the pulsed laser beam in a direction crossing an optical axis. The light guiding optical element is provided downstream of the deflecting device on the optical path of the pulsed laser beam. The light guiding optical element has refractive power, and guides the pulsed laser beam. The objective lens causes the pulsed laser beam through the XY scan unit and the light guiding optical element to converge in a tissue of a patient's eye. The Z scan unit varies the optical path length between the light guiding optical element and the objective lens while the objective lens is fixed in position on the optical path.

摘要: A computer program product for controlling a laser-assisted eye treatment, configured to encode a system controller with a routine for planning the eye treatment, invention further relates to a laser-assisted eye treatment system including a laser treatment unit and a system controller, to a method for generating control data for a laser-assisted eye treatment system, to a planning method for a laser-assisted eye treatment and to an eye treatment method using a laser beam for treating a patient's eye. The invention provides systems and methods for a fast laser-assisted eye treatment of a patient's eye which improve the security and minimize the risk of a non-optimal eye treatment and enable sale eye treatment planning and a shortening of the critical phase of the eye treatment. Encoding a system controller by a routine for planning the eye treatment is strictly based on an anatomy of a patient's eye.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for measuring an optical penetration that is triggered in a tissue underneath the tissue surface by means of therapeutic laser radiation which a laser-surgical device concentrates in a treatment focus located in said tissue. The inventive device is provided with a detection beam path comprising a lens system which couples radiation emanating from the tissue underneath the tissue surface into the detection beam path. A detector device generating a detection signal which indicates the spatial dimension and/or position of the optical penetration in the tissue is arranged downstream of the detection beam path.
