摘要: A system for forming a corneal implant includes a cutting apparatus, which includes a laser source that emits a laser and optical elements that direct the laser. The system includes a controller implemented with at least one processor and at least one data storage device. The controller generates a sculpting plan for modifying a first shape of a lenticule formed from corneal tissue and achieving a second shape for the lenticule to produce a corneal implant with a refractive profile to reshape a recipient eye. The sculpting plan is determined from measurements relating to the lenticule having the first shape and information relating to a refractive profile for a corneal implant. The controller controls the cutting apparatus to direct, via the one or more optical elements, the laser from the laser source to sculpt the lenticule according to the sculpting plan to produce the corneal implant with the refractive profile.

摘要: A laser eye surgery system that has a patient interface between the eye and the laser system relying on suction to hold the interface to the eye. The patient interface may be a liquid-filled interface, with liquid used as a transmission medium for the laser. During a laser procedure various inputs are monitored to detect a leak. The inputs may include a video feed of the eye looking for air bubbles in the liquid medium, the force sensors on the patient interface that detect patient movement, and vacuum sensors directly sensing the level of suction between the patient interface and the eye. The method may include combining three monitoring activities with a Bayesian algorithm that computes the probabilities of an imminent vacuum loss event.

摘要: A laser surgical method for performing a corneal incision while maintaining iris exposure below a predetermined exposure limit includes determining an initial iris exposure based on an initial treatment scan, determining whether the initial iris exposure is less than the predetermined exposure limit, generating a revised treatment scan comprising one or more treatment scan modifying elements when the initial iris exposure is greater than the predetermined exposure limit, and scanning the focal zone of a pulsed laser beam according to the revised treatment scan, thereby performing the corneal incision, wherein the one or more treatment scan modifying elements causes the iris exposure to be smaller than the predetermined exposure limit.

摘要: The disclosure provides a system that may: determine first multiple focal point distances associated with respective multiple positions of a plane orthogonal to a laser beam; determine second multiple focal point distances associated with the respective multiple positions via for each position of the multiple positions: determine multiple intensity values associated with respective multiple interim focal point distances, each interim focal point distance greater than each focal point distance of the first multiple focal point distances associated with the position; determine an interim focal point distance respectively associated with a maximum intensity value; and determine a focal point distance as the interim focal point distance; and determine a depth of at least one incision in an eye based at least on differences between each of the second multiple focal point distances and each respective one of the first multiple focal point distances.

摘要: An ophthalmic treatment system and method for performing therapy on target tissue in a patient's eye. A delivery system delivers treatment light to the patient's eye and a camera captures a live image of the patient's eye. Control electronics control the delivery system, register a pre-treatment image of the patient's eye to the camera's live image (where the pre-treatment image includes a treatment template that identifies target tissue within the patient's eye), and verify whether or not the delivery system is aligned to the target tissue defined by the treatment template. The control electronics control the delivery system to project the treatment light onto the patient's eye in response to both an activation of a trigger device and the verification that the delivery system is aligned to the target tissue, as well as adjust delivery system alignment to track eye movement.

摘要: In certain embodiments, an ophthalmic laser system for treating a floater in a vitreous of an eye includes a laser device that directs laser pulses towards the floater to yield cavitation bubbles that create a bubble jet to treat the floater. In some examples, the laser device includes a beam multiplexer that splits a laser beam into multiple beams that form the cavitation bubbles that create the bubble jet. In some examples, the laser device directs laser pulses towards the floater according to a pulse pattern that forms the cavitation bubbles that create the bubble jet.

摘要: An initial treatment pattern defining an initial volume of ocular tissue to be modified for treating glaucoma is designed. An initial laser treatment is delivered by scanning a laser beam across ocular tissue at an initial placement in the eye in accordance with the initial treatment pattern to thereby photo disrupt the initial volume of ocular tissue. A postoperative measure of intraocular pressure (IOP) is evaluated relative to an IOP criterion to determine if the treatment was successful. If the treatment was not successful, meaning the IOP criterion was not satisfied, then a subsequent treatment pattern that defines a subsequent volume of ocular tissue to be modified, and/or a subsequent placement in the eye is determined. A subsequent laser treatment is delivered by scanning a laser beam across ocular tissue at the subsequent placement within the eye in accordance with the subsequent treatment pattern to thereby photo disrupt the subsequent volume of ocular tissue.

摘要: System and method for generating patterns P of aiming and treatment light on target eye tissue (e.g. the retina) of a patient's eye. The system includes light sources for treatment and aiming light, a scanner for generating patterns of spots of the generated light, a controller, and a graphic user interface that allows the user to select one of several possible spot patterns, adjust the spot density and/or spot size, and apply patterns with fixed or varied density. The patterns can be formed of interlaced sub-patterns and/or scanned without adjacent spots being consecutively formed to reduce localized heating. Partially or fully enclosed exclusion zones within the patterns protect sensitive target tissue from exposure to the light.

摘要: A treatment method and apparatus for surgical correction of defective-eyesight in an eye of a patient, wherein a laser device is controlled by a control device, said laser device separating corneal tissue by irradiation of laser radiation to isolate a volume located within a cornea, wherein the control device controls the laser device to focus the laser radiation, by providing target points located within the cornea, into the cornea, wherein the control device, when providing the target points, allows for focus position errors which lead to a deviation between the predetermined position and the actual position of the target points when focusing the laser radiation, by pre-offsets depending on the positions of the respective target points to compensate for said focus position errors.
