    摘要: A rotatable valve assembly (38) for a rotary piston filling machine, the rotatable valve assembly being received within a valve body (30). The valve assembly includes a supporting valve plug (40) and interchangeable valve sleeves (42) which are adapted to be telescoped over the valve plug to an assembled position. Alignment means in the form of pins (152) and apertures (154) maintain the sleeve (42) in its desired assembled relationship on the plug (40) and insures that the valve sleeve (42) will rotate with the valve plug (40). The parts can be readily disassembled for cleaning. The valve sleeve (42) may be formed of polytetrafluoroethylene or of Waukesha Metal. The valve plug is preferably made of a stainless steel suitable for use in the food industry.

    摘要: A filling apparatus for carbonated beverages including a filling valve connected to a beverage source under pressure and including a measuring cylinder movable into and out of a container to be filled. The measuring cylinder has a foot valve on its lower end and is telescopically associated with an inlet valve. The measuring cylinder is filled with a predetermined amount of beverage at superatmospheric pressure by moving the cylinder down into an empty container when the foot valve is closed and the inlet valve is open. The inlet valve is then closed and the cylinder is again moved down a slight amount to increase the volume thus reducing the pressure of a measured volume of beverage to atmospheric pressure. The foot valve is then opened and the measuring cylinder is moved upwardly at one rate and the container is moved upwardly at a slower rate relative to the closed inlet valve to transfer the measured quantity of beverage into the container at atmospheric pressure.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention include apparatus for filling containers and related methods. In an embodiment, the invention includes an apparatus for filling containers including a filler frame, a rotary turret assembly, a filler plenum assembly, piston assemblies, a cam track, and a fluid supply group. The cam track can include a first rising portion, a second rising portion, a first declining portion, a first flat portion, and a second declining portion. In some embodiments, the apparatus for filling containers can include a sensor and a lever actuator. The piston assemblies can move up and down within the plurality of hollow columns and can include a piston body, and a top hat assembly. The top hat assembly can include a cam contact member and a release lever. The top hat assembly can be configured to releasably engage the top of the piston body in some embodiments. The release lever can allow the piston body and the top hat assembly to release from one another when the release lever is engaged. In some embodiments, the apparatus for filling containers can include a container conveyor system including an infeed timing screw, a discharge timing screw, and a container elevation system. In an embodiments the apparatus can include a fluid supply group can include a liquid supply tank, a supply conduit, a reclaim trough, a reclaim conduit, a pump, a plenum return conduit, and a pumped return conduit.
