    摘要: A fiber processing machine includes a first roll having a circumferential surface carrying a first clothing; a second roll having a circumferential surface carrying a second clothing and adjoining the first roll for taking over fiber material carried by the first roll as the first and second rolls rotate; a nip defined between the first and second clothings at a location where the first and second clothings are closest to one another; a bight defined by a generally triangular area immediately adjoining the nip and bounded by an end thereof and by circumferential length portions of the first and second clothings extending away from the nip end; and a cutting edge positioned in the bight and cooperating with one of the rolls for separating impurities from the fiber material as the fiber material is carried past the cutting edge by the roll clothing.

    摘要: The present invention is concerned with a process for the filtering out of fibers form an air stream, in which process a stripping blade (3), for the purpose of cleaning, is moved along the surface of a filter (2) installed in a vacuum chamber (10). A controlled linear drive (51) is applied to the said stripper blade (3), by which the stripping blade (3) is made movable for the carrying out of a two phase operational motion along a linear path of travel. The end positions are located at opposite sides outside of the surface of the filter (2) in areas (A, B) wherein the stripping plate (3) is without contact with an opposing surface. During the first phase of travel, the fibrous material is scraped from the surface of the filter (2), while during the second phase of travel of the stripping blade (3) the said fibers are pressed against the filter (2) and the stripping plate (3) essentially moves back over the fiber without taking the said fibrous material with it. The low pressure in the filter chamber (12) is measured, and upon a drip in the measured low pressure to a point lower than a specified low pressure, the stripping blade is activated at least one time to carry out the said operational movement.

    摘要: A taker-in under casing in a carding machine is disposed below a taker-in roller and between an under casing for a cylinder and a dish plate so as to extend along a portion of the lower peripheral surface of the taker-in roller. In order to vary the spacing between the taker-in under casing and the dish plate and/or the gauge between the taker-in under casing and the taker-in roller to thereby control the quantity and a quality of substances to be removed at the taker-in under casing, the latter is provided with a device for adjusting the position of the taker-in under casing, which is manually operable at the outside of the carding machine. The adjusting device has a first adjusting mechanism for causing the taker-in under casing to slide along the circumference of the taker-in roller, and a second adjusting mechanism for causing the taker-in under casing to pivot toward and away from the taker-in roller, these mechanisms being operable independently of each other.

    摘要: Apparatus for removing waste, lint, dust, dirt and other accumulations of solid matter from the underside of machinery, especially textile machinery such as carding machines while the latter is in operation or not, comprising a frame designed to be installed beneath the machine on the floor on which there is reciprocally mounted a wiper arranged to travel over the floor in reciprocation so as to traverse the entire area beneath the machine, vacuum chambers at two of the opposite ends of the frame having open sides parallel to the wiper which are closed by the wiper when the latter reaches an end position and a timer operable to connect the chambers to a vacuum source as the wipers are moved to a position closing them to remove the waste swept into the chambers by the wiper. The opposite ends of the vacuum chambers are open and the vacuum connections to the chambers are situated at the mid-length thereof so that strong drafts are created as the air rushes into the open ends along the floor to the vacuum connections at mid-length which augment the lifting effect on the fibers.
