摘要: A scroll compressor has a stationary scroll and a swivel scroll engaged with each other in a hermetic housing. A sealed terminal is provided to send signals outside of the housing from a sensor that is provided within the housing. The sealed terminal is inserted into a fitting hole that passes through the outer wall of the housing. A push nut having a plurality of nails is pressed into the fitting hole to hold the sealed terminal within the fitting hole. The push nut has a plurality of nails having an outer diameter slightly larger than the inner diameter of the fitting hole.

摘要: A high pressure gas compressor in one embodiment having an internal two staged compression with a compression chamber formed in part by a positive displacement, stepped piston and cylinder configuration, providing a first stage compression by an enlarged diameter segment of the piston and a second stage compression provided by a smaller diameter segment of the piston, and in another embodiment having an internal, single stage compression with a high compression ratio. Temperature is maintained within design limits by the admission to the compression chamber of an expanded gas from a high pressure storage, which on adiabatic expansion of the admission gas reduces the temperature of the mixed charge for final compression at a resultant temperature that is within the design limits of the compressor unit in one embodiment; by the initial expansion of a residual gas mixed with a compression charge initially, followed by an injection of liquified gas during compression to achieve substantially isothermal compression with the finally compressed gas having an ambient temperature in another embodiment, and by scavenging of high pressure compressed residual gas by high pressure cool gas before expansion (FIG. 14) in other embodiments.

摘要: For metering of heavy gas which is intended for use in filling insulating glass panes with heavy gas or in the assembly of heavy gas-filled insulating glass panes, heavy gas is introduced into A space (5) of a cylinder (1) whose internal space is divided by a piston (2) into two spaces (5 and 6), piston (2) moving as other space (6) becomes smaller, so that heavy gas flows out of the latter. The displacement path of piston (2) is measured by displacement sensor (7) and electronic rule (4). Furthermore, the temperature and pressure of the heavy gas flowing out of space (6) via connection (20) are measured and the displacement of piston (2) is interrupted as soon as the amount of heavy gas determined on the basis of the displacement path and the values of temperature and pressure of the discharging heavy gas corresponds to the required amount of heavy gas.

摘要: A system and process for predicting the failure of a machine begins with the step of loading a slope signature library into the control system, in which the slope signature library correlates time-to-failure based on rates of change of one or more measured conditions. The process includes the steps of activating the machine, determining baseline measurements, and detecting an out-of-spec measurement. Once an out-of-spec measurement is made, the process includes the determination of the rate of change for the out-of-spec measurement. A slope signature is calculated based on the rate of change for the measured condition, which is compared against the slope signature library to determine a predicted time-to-failure based on the calculated slope signature, and outputting the predicted time-to-failure. The process can be used to modify the operation of the machine to extend the predicted time-to-failure.
