    摘要: A valve assembly includes a valve body and a valve member extending through at least a portion of the valve body. The valve assembly also includes a seat pocket forming an annular recess in the valve body and a seat arrangement positioned at least partially within the seat pocket. The seat arrangement includes a lower seat extending radially inward from the annular recess toward the valve cavity axis. The seat arrangement also includes an upper seat at least partially overlapping the lower seat, the upper seat extending radially inward toward the valve cavity axis to contact the valve member along a seat face. The seat arrangement further includes an interface seal positioned along an interface between the upper seat and the lower seat, the interface seal receiving a fluid pressure to drive the lower seat radially outward and into the annular recess.

    摘要: The present invention provides a gate valve assembly having a valve body with a channel extending from a distal end to a proximal end, a gate configured to be moved from a first position to a second position, the second position being when the gate is positioned in the channel of the valve body between the distal end and the proximal end of the valve body. A seat insert is also provided to be threaded into a pocked of the valve body and a seat is configured to be positioned within the seat insert. A seal is adapted within a groove of the seat insert positioned between the valve body and the seat insert, wherein the seal is a fixed static seal providing no gaps and/or spaces between the seal insert and the valve body allowing no debris to corrupt the seals.

    摘要: A valve is disclosed having a telescoping seat assembly that fits into a pocket or enlargement of a flow passageway through the valve body. An outer seat element seals with the pocket utilizing a plurality of seal assemblies to seal with the pocket whereby pressure may become trapped between the seal assemblies during valve operation under certain unusual conditions. A groove with a tapering or angled surface is provided in the outer seat. A seal ring is disposed in the groove whereby pressure from one side of the seal ring moves the seal along the tapering or angled surface to wedge the seal into contact with the wall of the pocket. Pressure from the other side of the seal ring moves the seal ring along the tapering surface and away from the wall of the pocket so as to be out of sealing engagement thereby permitting bleeding off of the pressure or de-energizing of the seal assemblies.

    摘要: A seal device for a gate valve is disclosed, in which annular members facing the front and rear surfaces of a gate valve member having a through hole are coupled to a valve cage by inner and outer bellows, each of the annular members has an annular recess formed on the side facing the gate valve member and closed by an annular mirror surface finished thin plate secured by welding to an opening thereof, the individual bellows are elongated by fluid under pressure supplied into annular spaces defined by the inner and outer bellows, and the annular mirror surface finished thin plates are strongly urged against the gate valve member by the pressure of the fluid forced from the annular spaces into the annular recesses. Edge portions of the annular mirror surface finished thin plates are to be very firmly mounted to the annular members, and the mechanical strength of the thin plates is to be increased. The two annular mirror surface finished thin plates are to be simultaneously brought into contact with the front and rear surfaces of the gate valve member, and are to be urged against the gate valve member with a uniform pressure over the entire circumference.

    摘要: A device, such as a damper or valve, for use in closing a conduit against the flow of liquid has a chamber surrounding and opening into the conduit. A blade at one side of the conduit is movable through the chamber from a first position within a bonnet into a conduit-blocking position. Means carried by the chamber side walls surround the conduit and are between the conduit and the blade when in its first position and are operable then to coact to seal the chamber against leakage into it and to seal the blade when in its second position. At least one seal is of a type brought by fluid under pressure from a position out of the path of the blade into its sealing positions and is carried by the side wall enabling the seal to engage the blade face exposed to the fluid flow. Means are provided to deliver fluid pressure to the pressure operated seal when the blade is in either position and to relieve the pressure therein when the blade is to be moved. Means are also provided to maintain a fluid under pressure in the chamber greater than the fluid pressure in the conduit at least whenever the blade is to move from one position to another and to purge the sealing means and prevent leakage from the conduit along the path of the blade. The other of the sealing means may also be a fluid pressure operated seal and similarly controlled or it may be a resilient compressible seal or seals.
