    摘要: A waste effluent flare may include a flare body having a streamlined exterior surface to produce a flow path that closely adheres to the exterior surface. The flare body may include an annular bulge extending circumferentially around and projecting outwardly from an exterior surface, and that is substantially axially aligned with an annular gap through which effluent is directed toward the flare body. Apertures may communicate relatively warm air from inside a body chamber to an area immediately downstream of the bulge. The head may include an initial portion substantially axially aligned with the gap that extends at a relatively small deflection angle. An atomization tube may be coupled to the flare body stem and have an inlet end fluidly communicating with the supply pipe and an outlet end disposed in a body chamber defined by the flare body, wherein the outlet end defines a discharge orifice.

    摘要: A control system for installation on existing waste burners at mill sites for the purpose of reducing emissions from the wood waste burned. A damper structure includes downwardly swingable doors positioned in response to the burner internal temperature. An under fire duct system supports combustion at the base of the waste pile while over fire blowers feed air about the perimeter of the pile in a cyclonic manner. Igniter units located about the burner shell retain burner temperature above a preset level by intermittent operation. Control means operates the systems components at preset temperatures to insure highly efficient combustion within the burner to reduce smoke and particulate emissions to a level acceptable to regulating authorities.

    摘要: A conical-shaped, industrial type, waste incinerator having a temperature modulated forced draft system including a blower and an air inlet conduit for discharging forced air into the combustion chamber. The incinerator is also provided with concentric double walls about the combustion chamber to provide insulation and also to provide means for cooling the outer skin. The air inlet conduit is provided with a cooling branch conduit connected to the space between the double walls. The diverter valve means is located in the air inlet conduit for selectively, and alternately, opening and closing the respective air inlet conduit and cooling branch conduit. The valve selection means is controlled and modulated by an electrical apparatus responsive to the temperature within the combustion chamber. The incinerator may also be provided with an exit gas temperature sensor for shutting down the blower when the temperature in the exhaust opening of the incinerator is excessive. The incinerator also preferably includes a variable emission gate means mounted in the exhaust opening having variable radial vanes which are adapted to be moved between open and closed positions by an electrical control responsive to the exit gas temperature sensor.

    摘要: Tepee burners having means for concentrating, collecting and reintroducing unburned particles are provided with underfire air systems which uniformly distribute air to the fire piles. An early underfire air system (FIG. 1) includes inclined pipe sections having downwardly directed nozzle tubes. A later underfire air system (FIG. 10) includes nozzles having partially embedded, slotted burner pots and caplike grates having diffuser plates setting in the slots in the pots. A latest underfire air system (FIGS. 16 and 18) includes partially embedded burner pots and caps having radial nozzles positioned on the pots. The means for concentrating, collecting and reintroducing the unburned particles include crown collectors from which ducts lead to blowers which draw the unburned particles and gases from the collectors and blow them with ambient air chordally into the burners so as to aid the coriolis effect, one of the burners (FIGS. 13-15) having adjustable blower outlet nozzles.
