摘要:
An air temperature control device for internal combustion engines has a valve for determining the ratio of heated to unheated air disposed between a heated air-inlet and an unheated air inlet, the valve being rigidly mounted on one end of a cantilever-like bi-metallic strip disposed downstream of the air inlets. The hot air inlet may provide a greater resistance to air flow than the cold air inlet and the bi-metallic strip may be resilient so that the ratio of unheated to heated air is increased during acceleration.

Environmental temperatures are controlled by selectively proportioning air flow from a pair of air flow paths by generation of a force proportional to temperature and dependent solely upon temperature for oppositely and proportionally changing registration of small openings in pairs of perforated plates laterally disposed in the air flow paths. A direct-acting, expandible-material, temperature-sensitive device is located adjacent those perforated plates and is used to generate that force; and a remote-control system permits the set point of that temperature-sensitive device to be adjusted.

A mixing pump (2) according to the invention comprises: an air duct, referred to as a cool air duct; an air intake (10), referred to as a hot air intake, leading to the cool air duct; as well as means for injecting air from the hot air intake (10) into the cool air duct. The hot air intake (10) leads to a chamber (16) arranged at least partially in the cool air duct. The injection means have at least one opening (30) for connecting the interior of the chamber (16) to the interior of the cool air duct, and means (12) for modifying the flow area through the at least one opening connecting the interior of the chamber (16) to the interior of the cool air duct.

A method and a system for regulating the mixed air in a heating/air-conditioning unit (1) of a motor vehicle in which fresh air and/or recirculated air are fed to a heating/air-conditioning unit (1) which controls the feeding of fresh air and/or recirculated air in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. In a method for optimizing the consumption of energy for such heating/air-conditioning systems, the feed of fresh air and/or recirculated air is so adjusted that the temperature of the dew point of the air within the vehicle is less than the temperature on the inside of a window of the vehicle.
