    摘要: A system, apparatus and method are disclosed for separating a current frame of a composite video signal into a luminance signal and a chroma signal. A relative chroma correlation value is generated using a plurality of lines of the current frame. A weighted sum of inter-line pixel differences of the current frame is generated using the relative chroma correlation value. A frame difference signal is generated by subtracting a previous frame of the composite video signal from the current frame. A detected motion signal is generated that corresponds to motion detected in the current frame. The weighted sum of inter-line pixel differences, the frame difference signal, and the detected motion signal are combined to generate the chroma signal. The chroma signal is subtracted from the current frame to generate the luminance signal.

    摘要: An exemplary embodiment of an image processing system is provided, comprising an off-chip memory and an image processor. In the off-chip memory, a plurality of field buffers and frame buffers buffer intermediate data associated with an input image, and the image processor processes the input image and the intermediate data to generate an output image. The image processor processes three stages. In a pre-processing stage, the field buffers are read to perform a pre-process, and the pre-processing results are stored in the field buffers. In a de-interlacing stage, a plurality of first line buffers buffer the pre-processed results read from the field buffers, and a de-interlacing process is performed on the pre-processed results to generate a de-interlaced results. In a post-processing stage, a post-process is performed on the pre-processed results and the de-interlaced results to generate the output image.

    摘要: The invention provides techniques for separating luma and chroma signal components in a composite SECAM video signal. During reception, the SECAM video signal is split into luma and chroma output. The amplitude of the chroma carrier is monitored during reception. If the chroma carrier amplitude is greater than a threshold, the value of the chroma output can be reduced. Also, if the chroma carrier amplitude is greater than another threshold, a portion of the chroma carrier can be added to the luma; or the trap band of the band-trap filter for extracting luma from the composite video can be reduced. The respective amount of the reduction in the chroma output and the increase in the luma output are independently determined but both may proportional to the magnitude of the deviation in the chroma carrier amplitude from the different thresholds.

    摘要: A decoder and a method for separating luminance and chrominance information from a target pixel in a composite video signal are provided. The decoder comprises a delay module, a filter module, a weighting factor generator, and a separator. The delay module is configured to delay a plurality of horizontal lines of the composite video signal to output a plurality of pixels including the target pixel. The filter module is coupled to the delay module and configured to filter the composite video signal in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction to generate a plurality of frequency components. The weighting factor generator is configured to generate a first weighting factor of the target pixel according to the horizontal direction and a second weighting factor of the target pixel according to the vertical direction. The separator is configured to separate luminance information from the target pixel in accordance with the frequency components, the first weighting factor, and the second weighting factor.
