    摘要: Isoprene polymers and copolymers are prepared by a polymerization process carried out in the absence of solvents and in the presence of a catalytic system comprising (a) at least one element or compound of an element pertaining to Group IIIB of the Periodic Table, (b) at least one aluminium alkyl derivative, (c) at least one organic halogen derivative or at least one halide of an element able to exist in at least two valency states with the halide corresponding to a higher state than the minimum, or at least one halogen or at least one hydrogen halide acid, (d) at least one compound containing one or more hydroxyl groups of which the hydrogen can be substituted, the ratio of component (b) to component (a) being equal to or less than 20.

    摘要: An improved method for the preparation of homopolymers and copolymers of alpha olefins by means of a catalyst system comprising a titanium halide, an aluminum alkyl, and a phenolic compound which has a tendency to crystallize at low temperatures in the reactor feed system is disclosed. The improvement comprises prereacting a portion of the aluminum alkyl with the phenolic compound such that the components remain catalytically inactive and then activating the catalyst by adding the remainder of the aluminum alkyl to prereacted components in situ in the polymerization reactor, thereby preventing the crystallization of the phenolic compound at low temperatures in the feed system for the reactor.

    摘要: A polybutadiene rubber having an enhanced mechanical strength is produced by a process comprising two successive steps of:(A) cis-1,4-polymerizing 1,3-butadiene in a polymerization medium in the presence of a catalyst comprising a cobalt compound and a dialkyl aluminium halide of the formula (I): AlR.sub.2 X, wherein R=C.sub.2 -8 alkyl and X=halogen, and;(B) subjecting a mixture of the resultant cis-1,4-polybutadiene and the non-reacted 1,3-butadiene in the polymerization medium to a 1,2-polymerization in the presence of a catalyst comprising a cobalt compound, a dialkyl aluminium halide of the formula (I), carbon disulfide and an electron donative organic compound.
