摘要: A method of implementing controller-based distributed remote access may include connecting a plurality of edge devices to a controller via a network. The plurality of edge devices may perform hole punching to traverse a network address translation (NAT) gateway to create a NAT hole. The method may also include connecting a client device to the controller. The client device may be directly connected to one of the plurality of edge devices via the NAT hole in the network. The method may further include directly connecting the client device to one of the plurality of edge devices by receiving a query from the client device and returning public IP/ports of a most relevant edge device to the client device, the most relevant edge device being based on attributes of the client device, attributes of the plurality of edge devices, or combinations thereof.

摘要: According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, an asset inventory service executed by one or more devices receives telemetry data collected passively by a sensor application regarding a node in a network. The asset inventory service requests, after receiving the telemetry data, that the sensor application perform active discovery of nodes in the network. The asset inventory service receives active discovery data collected by the sensor application via active discovery of nodes in the network. The asset inventory service generates, based on the telemetry data and the active discovery data, an identity profile for the node.

摘要: A system and method for providing network and port address translation is provided. A global IP address and a block (chunk) of ports are allocated for each mobile subscriber (MS) on first data connection. Subsequent data connections from the same MS are assigned the same IP address and a new port from this block. The mapping information is communicated, processed, and stored once for the complete block, instead of for every new data connection. This process reduces processing, communication, and storage requirements.

摘要: In one example, a network management system discovers a plurality of network devices behind a network address translation device, such as a firewall. The network management system may receive a model of a seed network device, generate a first activation configuration and commit the first activation configuration on the seed network device. The network management system may connect to the seed network device and discover neighboring devices from information in the seed network device. The network management system may connect to the neighboring devices, automatically create a model of the neighboring network devices, generate s activation configurations for the neighboring network devices and commit the activation configurations on the neighboring network devices. The network management system may iterative perform these steps until it discovers all the discoverable network devices behind the network address translation device.

摘要: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for client-based control of revising caller identifications (IDs) for communications between a private network and a public network. An apparatus including a telecommunications-providing server and processing circuit that communicates client-specific sets of data over an interface protocol. The telecommunications-providing server revises a caller ID for a VoIP call based on the client-specific sets of data, an identifier that corresponds to a requesting endpoint, and a geographic region determined from the call request. Further, the telecommunications-providing server causes control data to be sent to activate an analog-telephone bridging circuit and redirect the VoIP call by obtaining a dial tone and passes at least a subset of the data packet through the analog-telephone bridging circuit for connecting over the local line. The subset of the data packet includes the revised caller ID which is a local number identified by the determined geographic region.

摘要: A media stream is transmitted from a server device to a client device. The client device (10) transmits set-up request messages (43a), discovery messages (44b) and a play command message (45a). The server receives versions of the set-up request messages 43b), the discovery message (44b) and the play message (45b) with matching identifier in the payloads if the messages. The server device (12) receives the discovery messages (44b) on a predetermined port and stores information recording that the discovery messages (44b) have been received, at least when no corresponding set-up request message 43b has been received before. The server device (12) compares the identifiers from the received set up request message (43b) and the discovery message (44b) according to the information recording reception, at least when the discovery message (44b) has been received before the set-up request message (43b). The server device (12) selects transport parameters for transmission of the media stream responsive to detection that the first and second identifier have matching values, the selected transport parameters being based on data from said set-up request message (43b) and a port identification from a source field of the discovery message (44b). The media stream is transmitted in accordance with the selected transport parameters to the client device (10) addressed to the port determined from the source field of the discovery message (44b).

摘要: A computing environment, such as a cloud computing environment, may include nodes performing NAT for a plurality of workloads. An active node performs NAT for the workloads, including maintaining a NAT table. The active node may create sub-interfaces for the workloads and function as a DHCP server. The NAT table and sub-interfaces may be recreated on a standby node. Upon detecting failure, a routing table is updated to direct workloads to connect to the standby node and traffic may continue to be processed by the standby node without disrupting network or application sessions.
