摘要： Provided is a magic mirror device comprising a substrate having a front surface which is mirror-finished while having slight recesses and a rear surface having no protrusion on which nicked marks are formed in stead of protrusions, wherein the thickness of the substrate is less than 10 mm while the depth of nicked marks are less than 20 .mu.m, thereby it is possible to precisely read a latent image on the mirror-finished front surface thereof upon irradiation of light onto the front surface.

摘要： An article is produced, having an inner shaped body embedded within an outer shaped body. The inner and outer bodies are formed of a base material moldable into a unitary integrally formed transparent mass. At least the base material forming the inner body has admixed within it finely ground nonsoluble matter rendering the base material at least in part translucent. As a result, the article exhibits three-dimensional regions clearly visible when viewed through the outer body.

摘要： A flexible trim strip especially useful on an automobile's exterior surface provides a decorative appearance with enhanced depth of vision. The trim strip comprises an elongated transparent of translucent core of a plastic material. A bottom surface of the core is covered with an opaque layer and an adhesive layer. A top surface of the core has a thin covering of a metal having a mirror-like appearance with selected portions removed so that a pattern of the underlying opaque layer is revealed. A transparent plastic overlay is formed over the top covering of metal. The overlay has radiused edges to give enhanced depth of vision to the trim strip.

摘要： A decorative emblem is formed by producing a decorative surface, which may be printed and embossed, on a foil substrate. An integral bezel is then formed around the periphery of the decorative surface. Fluent plastic is cast onto the decorative surface to form a meniscus over it. Upon curing, the plastic cap gives a lens effect to the decorative surface. The decorative emblem may be adapted with several types of different attachment means, such as an edge adhesive strip, for fastening it to the intended surface such as an automobile, appliance, or other object.

摘要： A decorative mirrored tile or the like preferably comprises a square transparent plate of glass or the like of substantially the same thickness throughout including the marginal portions thereof, and a mirror-forming surface at the rear of the plate extending to the margins thereof. There is provided along a band at each margin of the plate innumerable, tiny, spaced light interrupting areas or spots contrasting to the light transmitting characteristics of the tile between the same and the density of which varies progressively in a direction generally parallel to the plate margin involved, reaching maximum and minimum densities respectively at opposite ends thereof where they terminate along respective lines substantially bisecting the angle between the plate edges intersecting the corners of the plate thereat. An appearance of a mitered edge is provided at each corner of the plate by placing the dense end of each of the bands of light interrupting areas or spots along one margin of the plate adjacent to the least dense end of the band of light interrupting areas or spots at the adjacent margin of the plate.

摘要： An elastomeric transfer laminate for providing decorative reflective metal finishes on the outer surfaces of articles of various shapes includes an effectively transparent elastomeric layer, such as polyurethane film, and a layer of highly reflective metal, such as chromium, bonded to the elastomeric layer. The metal is applied in microscopically discontinuous quantities, but in an amount to form an apparently visually continuous, planar, highly reflective surface. A typical technique is vapor deposition. The elastomeric layer provides an effectively transparent protective outer covering for the reflective metal layer when the laminate is bonded to a substrate. The laminate can be stretched to conform to three-dimensional shapes, and bonded to an elastomeric substrate, such as urethane rubber, to produce an article having a reflective metal surface which can be distorted temporarily during use without disrupting the reflectivity of the metal layer.

摘要： A reflex light reflector sheet is disclosed wherein both the front face and the rear face are provided with a plurality of juxtaposed convex lens surfaces, the rear face being covered by a mirror surface. In accordance with the inventionA. the lens surfaces of said front face are aspherical;B. the respective axes of the lens surfaces on said front and rear faces coincide, andC. the focal point of the lens which is defined by each lens surface on said front face for axially incident lights is located in or in the proximity of the associated lens surface on the rear face.A method for preparing such a reflex light reflector sheet is also disclosed. A plastic sheet is treated so as to render the sheet susceptible to surface deformation. The sheet is then passed through the nip of patterning rollers which rotate synchronously in opposite direction, the patterning rollers having surface patterns which are complementary to the lens surfaces.
