摘要: A deployable safety zone system includes at least a first arm mounted on a support member and being movable between stored and operating positions relative to the support member. The support member and first arm define a safety zone between then when the first arm is in the operating position. The safety system may include reflective mechanisms, light sources, and an alarming system. The alarming system may include a transmitter positioned on one part of the safety system, a receiver positioned on another part of the safety system and an alarm mechanism. A signal may be sent between the transmitter and receiver and if that signal is interrupted, a visual or audible alarm may be generated. Alternatively, the deployable safety zone system may comprise a sensor assembly disposed adjacent the support member. The alarmed safety zone is defined between the support member and the sensor assembly.

摘要: A computer-implemented system and method for proximity-based computer application control is provided. A parking session of a vehicle is monitored via a first application and tracked by a second application. An initial communication connection status between the vehicle and a device associated with a user of the vehicle is obtained. At a later time, a further communication connection status is obtained. The further communication connection status is compared with the initial communication connection status. A determination is made that the parking session has terminated when a status of the further communication connection status differs from the initial communication connection status and is connected. A session termination instruction is transmitted from the first application to the second application to terminate the parking session.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses provide a supplemental light source, such as a strobe light, for a motor vehicle. An adapter may be provided to mount a supplemental light source to an existing primary light source, such as a parking and turn signal light bulb. A wiring assembly may interconnect the supplemental light source with a controller, such as a switch. The combined primary and supplemental light sources may then be inserted into a vehicle light housing through an existing light bulb aperture, without creating additional apertures or otherwise modifying the light housing.

摘要: Vehicular communication systems and methods are disclosed, including one or more media devices. A host device inside a vehicle is coupled to a media device that is adaptable to being mounted to the vehicle. The media device includes a display configured to display a default image. The host device is configured to receive data associated with a predefined direction of the vehicle from vehicle operation sensors on the vehicle and receive traffic data from one or more application servers. In response to the data, the host device determines a vehicle status and transmits media content to be presented on the display, including at least one road sign. The host device is further configured to establish a link with a second media device including a display and transmit instructions to project the media content.

The active safety module to, when active, autonomously parks the vehicle. The body control module determines an initial location of the mobile device and determines a current location of the mobile device using a current position received from the mobile device. The current position received from the mobile device is defined relative to the initial location. Additionally, the body control module, when the mobile device is within a virtual boundary, enables an autonomous parking system of the active safety module.

摘要: A road vehicle turn signal assist system and method are described for a road vehicle having turn indicators, a positioning system having access to map data, one or more sensors for monitoring the road vehicle surroundings, and one or more gears for selectively travelling forward or in reverse. Current positioning information and map data for the current position is used to determine if parking of the road vehicle is in progress when a reverse gear is selected. If it is determined that parking of the road vehicle is in progress and the one or more sensors for monitoring the road vehicle surroundings detect a moving object, a right hand side or a left hand side road vehicle turn indicator is activated, if not already manually activated, to indicate the ongoing parking operation.
