摘要: A battery module having a plurality of battery cells disposed in a housing and interconnected by upper and lower interconnect panels stamped from sheets of conductive metal. Each of the upper and lower interconnect panels have a plurality of contacts secured to terminals of the battery cells, respectively. The contacts are at least partially disposed in panel openings extending through the upper and lower interconnect panels. A carrier is provided and includes a lead frame molded into a body of thermoplastic resin. The lead frame connects a plurality of locations on the upper and lower interconnect panels to a monitoring module that measures physical properties at the locations.

摘要: A battery module includes a battery cell assembly having a plurality of battery cells, a sensing assembly which covers a front and rear of the battery cell assembly when mounted thereto, a module case which receives the battery cell assembly and the mounted sensing assembly, and a thermally conductive adhesive interposed between an upper inner surface of the module case and an upper side of the battery cell assembly. The sensing assembly includes a first busbar frame assembly positioned at the front of the battery cell assembly, a second busbar frame assembly positioned at the rear of the battery cell assembly, and a sensing wire which connects the first and second busbar frame assemblies and runs across the upper side of the battery cell assembly in a diagonal direction. The thermally conductive adhesive is disposed on two sides of the sensing wire.

摘要: This application is directed to a battery having a heating element. A connector of the battery includes a first terminal, a second terminal, and a heater terminal. One or more rechargeable battery cells are electrically coupled to the first and second terminals of the connector. The heating element is in contact with a subset of the battery cells, and includes a resistive heater path that is electrically coupled to the first and heater terminals of the connector and generates heat to warm the battery when a heater voltage is applied to the heater terminal. A waterproof material is wrapped around an exterior of the heating element and battery cells and prevents ambient water from contacting the heater element and battery cells. The waterproof material includes an opening to allow at least the first and second terminals of the connector to be electrically coupled to a logic board.

摘要: One or more external connectors of a conformal wearable battery (CWB) may be controlled to reduce a voltage potential supplied to the connectors when exposed to a conductive liquid. The connectors may be uniform serial bus (USB) connectors or other connectors. One or more unused terminals of the one or more connectors may be pulled to a voltage potential and then monitored for a change in voltage. When the change in voltage satisfies a voltage threshold, the voltage potential supplied to the one or more connectors may be reduced and/or interrupted. The change in voltage may be evaluated against the voltage threshold alone or may be evaluated against the voltage threshold and a time threshold relating to a time after the voltage satisfied the voltage threshold. The voltage of the monitored terminal may be evaluated against one or more voltage thresholds and/or one or more time thresholds. Based on the voltage threshold having been met, the voltage supplied to the connector may be reduced or stopped.

The flexible circuit board is provided to the carrying tray and includes a main board body and a plurality of connecting board bodies integrally connected to the main board body in a floatable manner and respectively electrically connected to the plurality of busbars, each connecting board body is provided to a side edge of the main board body, extends in a longitudinal direction and faces the corresponding busbar in a transverse direction, each connecting board body has a central portion and two cantilevered portions respectively extending from two opposite sides of the central portion in the longitudinal direction, each cantilevered portion has a proximal segment connected to the central portion, a distal segment opposite to the proximal segment and a curved segment positioned between the proximal segment and the distal segment, the curved segment extends along at least the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction, each connecting board body is connected to the main board body only by the distal segments of the two cantilevered portions, a gap is formed between the connecting board body and the main board body.
