摘要: Described herein are methods and systems for identifying and using 3D volumetric level of interest data associated with a 3D scene being viewed by multiple viewers. The method can include obtaining, for a time slice, respective consumption data associated with each viewer, of a plurality of viewers that are viewing the 3D scene. The method can also include identifying, based on the consumption data, 3D volumetric level of interest data associated with each of the viewers that are viewing the 3D scene, and thereby, identifying a plurality of separate instances of 3D volumetric level of interest data for the time slice. The method can additionally include aggregating the 3D volumetric level of interest data associated with two or more of the viewers and using the aggregated volumetric level of interest data to autonomously control an aspect associated with the 3D scene for the time slice and/or a later time slice.

摘要: A system of transferring of three dimensional (3D) image data is described. A 3D source device (10) provides 3D display signal (56) for a display (13) via a high speed digital interface like HDMI. The 3D display signal has frames constituting the 3D image data according to a 3D video transfer format, in which format the frames comprise at least two different frame types. Each frame has a data structure for representing a sequence of digital image pixel data, and represents a partial 3D data structure. The 3D source device includes frame type synchronization indicators in the 3D display signal. The display detects the frame type synchronization indicators and frame types, and generates the display control signals based on synchronizing the partial 3D data structures in dependence of the frame type synchronization indicators.

摘要: A method is provided of processing a primary video stream to which an overlay may be applied, for display by a head mountable display. The method includes identifying one or more suitable regions in the primary video stream for the display of overlay content. A suitable region is a region detected to lack one or more first predetermined features or to include one or more second predetermined features. The method also includes generating metadata indicative of a location and a depth of the suitable regions for the display of the overlay content, and that defines how a change in the detected orientation of the head mountable display, by which the primary video stream is displayed, changes the display of the overlay content. The method further includes providing the metadata in association with the primary video stream.

摘要: A system is provided for use with a video input signal and a video unit. The video input signal can be one of a two dimensional video signal and a three dimensional video signal. The video unit can display a three dimensional video and a two dimensional video. The system includes a receiver portion, a processing portion, a switching portion and an output portion. The receiver portion can receive the video input signal. The processing portion can output a first signal in a first mode of operation and can output a second signal in a second mode of operation, wherein the first signal is based on the video input signal and the second signal is based on the video input signal. The switching portion can switch the processing portion from the first mode of operation to the second mode of operation. The output portion can provide an output signal to the video unit, wherein the output signal is based on the first signal when the processing portion operates in the first mode of operation and wherein the output signal is based on the second signal when the processing portion operates in the second mode of operation. The first signal includes a two dimensional video signal, whereas the second signal includes a three dimensional video signal.

摘要: A stereoscopic image is generated by applying three-dimensional processing to two or more images, which are obtained through photographing from different positions. The stereoscopic image is stereoscopically displayed, and an instruction to start changing a parallax level of the stereoscopic image is received. In response to the instruction to start changing the parallax level, stereoscopic display of the stereoscopic image is switched into two-dimensional display of the two or more images overlapped with each other. An instruction to change the parallax level is received. In response to the instruction to change the parallax level, the two or more images are two-dimensionally displayed with the parallax level of the images being changed.
