Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for determining timing advance in L1/L2 inter-cell mobility. A user equipment (UE) comprises at least one antenna, at least one radio coupled to the at least one antenna, and a processor coupled to the at least one radio. The processor is configured to receive a Time advance (TA) indicator together with a handover command from a source base station in a source coverage, wherein the TA indicator comprises information for determining a TA used for an uplink transmission with a target base station in a target coverage, the handover command is a Layer 1 handover command or a Layer 2 handover command, and the source coverage and the target coverage are identified by different Physical Cell identifiers; and in response to the handover command, determine the TA used for the uplink transmission with the target base station based on the information.

Abstract: Techniques described herein involve the use of quasi-co-location (QCL) capabilities and spatial relation assumption to enable a UE to designate a single beam for connections with a base station during a physical random access channel (PRACH) procedure. Once the PRACH procedure is complete, the beam may be reset after a pre-determined duration, which may account for decoding latency, or maintained until additional transmission configuration indication (TCI) is received. Also addressed are scenarios involving multiple transmission reception points (TRPs) and switching between beam management schemes based on one or more factors including device capabilities.

Abstract: A network-controlled repeater (NCR) may receive configuration information from a base station to configure one or more receive (Rx) beams and corresponding time-domain resources for potential reception from one or more user equipments (UEs). The NCR may monitor for reception of a physical uplink channel or signal from the one or more UEs on the configured one or more Rx beams on the corresponding time-domain resources and determine that the physical uplink channel or signal is not received for at least a threshold amount of time. Additionally, the NCR may determine to refrain from at least one of additional monitoring for reception of the physical uplink channel or signal from the one or more UEs or transmission of one or more synchronization signal block (SSBs) to the one or more UEs for a duration of time.

Abstract: The present application relates to selecting one or more of activated transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for communications between a network and a user equipment. In an example, the network includes multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs) with which the UE communications. An activated TCI state can be a unified downlink TCI state that applies to multiple downlink channels or a unified uplink TCI state that applies to multiple uplink channels, where this state has already been activated by the network for the UE. Based on a predefined set of rules or network-based signaling, the UE can determine for a downlink or uplink communication with the network, one or more of the activated TCI states to use to then perform the downlink or uplink communication with the network.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide channel state information (CSI) measurement based on measuring a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. A UE may determine the DMRS for the PDSCH transmission with frequency hopping, and measure the DMRS for the PDSCH transmission to determine a CSI measurement. The UE may then report the CSI measurement to a base station.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and circuitries are provided for supporting aggregated retransmissions. In one example, a method includes receiving control information that indicates resources including one or more slots for communication of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission that includes at least one PDSCH/PUSCH retransmission A slot group to which a selected one of the one or more slots belongs is identified. The method includes configuring operation to receive the PDSCH transmission or to transmit the PUSCH transmission based on the resources. In response to determining that a PDSCH/PUSCH retransmission of the PDSCH/PUSCH transmission is scheduled for a slot outside the identified slot group, operation is configured to provide hybrid automatic repetition request (HARQ) feedback based on PDSCH/PUSCH retransmissions scheduled for slots within the identified slot group, wherein the HARQ feedback is not based on PDSCH/PUSCH scheduled for slots outside the identified slot group.
