Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a configuration message with a configured grant for a plurality of uplink transmissions. The user equipment may transmit, using a first demodulation reference signal port, a first transmission, of the plurality of uplink transmissions, associated with the configured grant. The user equipment may transmit, using a second demodulation reference signal port that is different from the first demodulation reference signal port, a second transmission, of the plurality of uplink transmissions, associated with the configured grant. Abstract: Feedback reports (e.g., hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgment (ACK) codebooks) may provide feedback for both downlink data messages (e.g., physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) messages) and control messages (e.g., physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) messages). As such, a base station may transmit an indication of a power savings mode in a control message (e.g., in scheduling downlink control information (DCI)), and the base station may be able to confirm whether a user equipment (UE) received (e.g., and implemented) the power savings mode via the feedback corresponding to the control message carrying the indication of the power savings mode. The techniques described herein may provide for improved synchronization of base station and UE power savings modes (e.g., as a base station may or may not implement a new power saving mode depending on whether the control message indicating the new power saving mode was successfully received and acknowledged).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating a proactive traffic reporting configuration identifying a trigger condition for proactively reporting expected data traffic for the UE. The UE may transmit, to the base station based on a satisfaction of the trigger condition, an uplink message including an indication of an expected amount of data traffic for the UE, where the satisfaction of the trigger condition is based on the expected amount of data traffic. The UE may subsequently receive, in response to the uplink message, a downlink message indicating a resource allocated for communicating the expected amount of data traffic, and may communicate at least a portion of the expected amount of data traffic with the base station via the indicated resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for capability indications by a reduced capability user equipment (UE) and UE-based performance measurement parameter reporting or self-organizing network (SON) parameter reporting based on the capability indications. A reduced capability UE may transmit a set of capabilities to a base station that indicate various types of parameter reporting that are supported at the UE. The base station may identify the UE as a reduced capability device, and set one or more reporting parameters based on the indicated UE capabilities. The base station may provide a reporting configuration to the UE with the one or more reporting parameters, and the UE may provide reporting of measured parameters (e.g., performance measurement parameter reporting or SON parameter reporting) based on the reporting configuration.

Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein permit a user equipment (UE) to transition among different power configurations, which include different values for different power parameters, that impact an amount of power consumed by the UE. Furthermore, these transitions may be signaled dynamically, such as in downlink control information (DCI) and/or a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) MAC-CE, which may conserve battery power and/or network resources as compared to reconfiguring the UE using an RRC message, and which may allow the UE to be reconfigured quickly as conditions associated with the UE change.
