    Abstract: An electric motor for a pump is provided. The electric motor includes a motor controller configured to convert alternating current (AC) power supplied to a variable frequency variable voltage power for driving the electric motor at a motor output according to a commanded motor output. The motor controller includes an inverter configured to generate the variable frequency variable voltage power according to the commanded motor output and a microcontroller coupled to the inverter. The microcontroller is configured to control the inverter to operate at a first switching frequency when the motor output is less than a threshold motor output and control the inverter to operate at a second switching frequency when the motor output is greater than the threshold motor output, wherein the second switching frequency is less than the first switching frequency.

    Abstract: A terminal box assembly for use with an electric motor assembly having a housing includes an annular adaptor fixedly coupled to the housing, a mounting hub extending from the housing and positioned within the adaptor, and an annular terminal box rotatably coupled to the adaptor. The terminal box includes a baseplate having a central opening defined therein and configured to receive the mounting hub therethrough. The terminal box assembly also includes a mounting bracket coupled to the mounting hub and positioned within the terminal box such that the baseplate is positioned between the mounting bracket and the adaptor. At least one fastener is inserted through an opening in the mounting bracket and is configured to selectively engage the base plate to compress the terminal box and the adaptor together.

    Abstract: A transfer module assembly includes a frame, a conveyor belt with internal rotating elements, where the conveyer belt is supported by the frame, conveyor drive rollers supported by the frame and configured to drive the conveyor belt, a flat transfer belt mounted beneath the conveyor belt and configured to contact undersides of the internal rotating elements of the conveyor belt in operation, and flat transfer belt drive rollers supported by the frame and configured to drive the flat transfer belt. The conveyor drive rollers are friction-based and operate without use of a sprocket, and comprise depressions for receiving the internal rotating elements of the conveyor belt.

    Abstract: An electric machine including a housing assembly including a first end and a second end, a stator, a rotor, and a fan is provided. The housing assembly includes a terminal box positioned at the first end, an end plate coupled to the terminal box and including a plurality of inlet apertures, and a casing coupled to the end plate and extending toward the second end. The stator is fixedly secured to the housing assembly and positioned within the casing. The rotor is rotatably secured to the housing assembly and positioned within the casing such that the stator and the rotor are separated within the casing by an air gap. The fan is positioned inside the casing and is configured to draw air into the housing assembly through the plurality of inlet apertures.

    Abstract: An electric motor system is described. The electric motor system includes a drive circuit including an inverter configured to supply variable frequency current and a contactor configured to supply line frequency current. The electric motor system also includes an electric motor coupled to the drive circuit wherein the electric motor is communicatively coupled to a controller. The controller is configured to control the inverter to supply variable frequency current to the electric motor, thereby operating the electric motor at a motor speed, and determine, based upon at least one input parameter, a maximum potential motor speed the inverter can achieve. The controller is also configured to receive a command to operate the electric motor at line frequency current and control the drive circuit to transition from supplying variably frequency current to supplying line frequency current before the maximum potential motor speed the inverter can achieve is reached.
