Abstract: A silicon photonics-based optical modulator is disclosed. The optical modulator includes first radio frequency (RF) metal electrodes that operate as a ground, phase shifters disposed between the first RF metal electrodes for optically modulating an optical signal transmitted along an optical waveguide, second RF metal electrodes disposed between the phase shifters for providing an RF electrical signal received from a driving driver located outside of the optical modulator through one end, resistor-inductors (RL) connected to another end of the second RF metal electrodes, an inductive line disposed between the RLs and a power supply for applying a bias voltage to the optical modulator and the driving driver, and a silicon capacitor disposed between the RLs and the power supply for preventing a degradation of an RF response characteristic of the silicon photonics-based optical modulator caused by the inductive line.

Abstract: Disclosed are an electronic device generating a multi-plane image of an arbitrary viewpoint and an operating method thereof. The electronic device includes a memory that stores a plurality of images, and at least one processor that executes a machine learning-based multi-plane image generating module generating an image of an arbitrary viewpoint from the plurality of images stored in the memory. When the multi-plane image generating module is executed, the processor selects at least two images from the plurality of images, by performing geometric calibration on the plurality of images, calculates a plane sweep volume including at least two layer images, performs an operation of a deep neural network to generate a plurality of multi-plane images having probability values, and generates the image of the arbitrary viewpoint by composing the plurality of multi-plane images and stores the image of the arbitrary viewpoint in the memory.

Collecting the multiple registration results may comprise repeatedly randomly initializing the source point cloud and the target point cloud and registering the initialized source point cloud to the initialized target point cloud to thereby search for a registration result in which the registration error therebetween is a local minimum.

Abstract: Provided is a method of synthesizing 3D joint data based on a multi-view RGB-D camera. The method of synthesizing 3D joint data includes: converting joint data collected from a depth camera of each of a plurality of RGB-D cameras from a depth camera coordinate system of each of the RGB-D cameras to a color camera coordinate system of each of the RGB-D cameras; calculating a confidence level of the joint data converted to the color camera coordinate system using a 3D joint recognition algorithm based on the joint data converted to the color camera coordinate system; applying a rotation matrix and a translation vector to the joint data and converting the joint data to a predetermined reference coordinate system; and obtaining a weighted-average of the joint data converted to the reference coordinate system using a weight calculated based on the confidence level to synthesize the joint data.
