Abstract: The present disclosure relates to one or more techniques for enabling component carriers for multi-carrier wireless communication. A capability of a UE or base station to support more than five downlink component carriers may be identified and indicated. A multi-carrier configuration, which may include more than five component carriers may be received. The multi-carrier configuration may include a first group of component carriers and a second group of component carriers. A first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), a second PUCCH, or a combination of the first PUCCH and the second PUCCH, may be transmitted. The first PUCCH may be associated with the plurality of downlink component carriers of the first group, and the second PUCCH may be associated with the at least one downlink component carrier of the second group.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may identify multiple demodulation reference signal (DMRS) symbols corresponding to multiple DMRS ports of a multiple input multiple output configuration. The transmitting device may generate multiple phase-rotated and precoded DMRS symbols by applying an orthogonal cover code, a phase rotation scheme, and a precoding matrix to the identified DMRS symbols. The transmitting device may map the phase-rotated and precoded DMRS symbols to time-frequency resources corresponding to multiple antenna ports, and transmit a DMRS based on the mapped phase-rotated and precoded DMRS symbols. The transmitting device may transmit the DMRS using multiple antennas that correspond to the antenna ports.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method may include receiving at a user equipment (UE) over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band an indication of a time window associated with a transmission of a synchronization signal, and monitoring the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window to receive a synchronization signal from a base station. A second method may include transmitting an indication of a time window associated with a transmission of a synchronization signal; performing a plurality of clear channel assessments (CCAs) on an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window; and transmitting the synchronization signal over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band at a transmission time during the time window. The transmission time may be based at least in part on a result of at least one of the CCAs.

Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently identifying spatial parameters for receiving control information in an initial coreset. In one example, a user equipment (UE) may receive a TCI state indicating reference signals quasi co-located with a control information transmission in a coreset, and the UE may also identify a quasi co-location (QCL) assumption in a random-access procedure indicating that a synchronization signal block (SSB) is quasi co-located with the control information transmission in the coreset. In this example, the UE may identify spatial parameters for monitoring the coreset for the control information transmission in accordance with the TCI state or the QCL assumption based on the timing of the indicated TCI state and the QCL assumption.

These include, for example, enhanced timing resource allocations, enhanced transmission repetition schemes, enhanced feedback mechanisms, or a combination of these features to achieve certain reliability and latency targets.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a resource allocation associated with a low latency time interval (TTI). The low latency TTI may be a two-symbol TTI. The UE may transmit, responsive to the resource allocation, a two-symbol TTI that includes a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) symbol and a data symbol. In some cases, the two-symbol TTI may precede the transmission of another two-symbol TTI from the same UE that includes data and excludes DM-RS. In some cases, the two-symbol TTI includes DM-RS from another UE. In such cases, data from the other UE may be transmitted in a subsequent two-symbol TTI.
