    Abstract: An energy storage device in which a micro-short circuit at the time of heat generation is suppressed is provided. The energy storage device includes: a positive electrode; a negative electrode containing a negative composite layer; and a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The separator contains a base material layer containing a thermoplastic resin and an inorganic layer formed on the base material layer, the inorganic layer opposes to the positive electrode, the base material layer opposes to the negative electrode, and a ratio of a mass of the base material layer per unit area to a spatial volume of the negative composite layer is 0.26 or more.

    Abstract: A managing apparatus for an electrochemical element mounted on a vehicle, including: a control unit activating at an interval of a predetermined time in a parked mode of the vehicle; and a current measuring unit measuring a current value. The control unit executes: a determination process of determining a reference value based on measured current values measured for a plurality of times upon the activation of the control unit; a check process of checking, at the interval of the predetermined time, whether or not a measured current value measured after the determination process deviates from a reference range that is based on the reference value; and an estimation process of estimating current, which has flowed in the parked mode by integrating, while the measured current value measured in the check process does not deviate from the reference range, current based on the reference value.

    Abstract: A battery module has a cell unit including battery cells and a battery monitoring element attached to the cell unit. The battery cells are arranged in a first direction. The battery cell includes pressure release section for releasing a pressure in the battery cell. The cell unit has side surfaces including at least one internal pressure release section surface which is a surface where the internal pressure release section is disposed. The battery monitoring element is disposed on a non internal pressure release section surface which is different from the internal pressure release section surface.

    Abstract: An energy storage device has a single electrode containing an active material in which repeated charge-discharge changes a first characteristic that is an energy storage amount-potential charge characteristic, and a second characteristic that is an energy storage amount-potential discharge characteristic. An estimation device includes: a storage unit that stores first characteristics, second characteristics, or pieces of V-dQ/dV of the single electrode in accordance with a change in a feature value, which is changed by repeated charge-discharge, or stores as a function of the feature value; an acquisition unit that acquires the feature value of the energy storage device; and a first estimation unit that refers to the first characteristic, the second characteristic, or the V-dQ/dV, or refers to the function on the basis of the feature value acquired by the acquisition unit, to estimate the first characteristic, the second characteristic, or the V-dQ/dV of the single electrode.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an electrode (E) for an electrochemical cell, in particular for a lithium cell. In order to produce a homogeneous mixture allowing the time-saving, cost-effective production, for example by dry coating, of an electrode (E) with improved properties and/or with a layer thickness significantly greater than 100 μm, for example for vehicle batteries, in particular for electric and/or hybrid vehicles, in said method at least one binder (B) and at least one particulate fibrillation auxiliary agent (F) are mixed in a mixing process with a high shear load, the at least one binder (B) being fibrillated (fB), and at least one electrode component (E1) is then added to the at least one fibrillated binder (B) in a mixing process with a low shear load. The invention also relates to an electrode (E) produced in this manner and to an electrochemical cell equipped with an electrode (E) of this type.
