Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a cylindrical storage node in a semiconductor device, in which loss differences of the cylindrical storage node between the center and the edge of cell areas, caused by an etch-back process of storage node isolation, is minimized, thereby maintaining uniform electrical capacitances over the entire area of a semiconductor wafer.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a track traverse signal detecting circuit which controls the level of a reference voltage by calculating a mean value of a track traverse signal, or adjusting the frequency or the phase of the track traverse signal. The track traverse signal detecting circuit further determines whether the disc is a CD or a DVD, and controls the level of the reference voltage accordingly, and then detects the accurate track traverse signal. Therefore, in case of track jump or random access, the track access operation can be performed accurately.
Abstract:
An electrical heating pad for use with an ungrounded source voltage comprises a heating element arranged in the heating pad and defining a substantially coplanar plane and a fabric outer cover co-planarly enclosing the heating element. The heating element includes a first core made of an insulating material; a first conductive element wound around the first core using the first core as an axis; a second core made of an insulating material arranged in surrounding relation to the first core and the first conductive element; and a second conductive element wound around the second core using the second core as an axis. The first and second conductive elements are connected to each other at one ends and are connected to the ungrounded source voltage at the other ends to at least partially cancel out magnetic field generated from each conductive element. There is at least one shield layer located at one side of the coplanar plane defined by the heating element for substantially shielding electric field. In the heating pad, the second conductive element preferably generates more heat than the first conductive element. In that regard, the second conductive element has a lower total resistance than the first conductive element.
Abstract:
Two gate lines are applied with scanning signals simultaneously. The period of the scanning signal and the image signal being read from a frame memory is twice that of the image signal being written into a frame memory or that of the scanning signal of a conventional art. Therefore, the time for applying the image signal to the pixels increase twice. In addition, the image signals in a frame are continuously applied into the first row pixels to the last row pixels, and thus each row pixels have the same driving conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention applies different common voltages to common electrodes corresponding to both end points of gate lines and data lines. At this time, the highest common voltage is applied to a common electrode point far away from both a data driver and a gate driver, the second highest common voltage is applied to a common electrode point close to the data driver and far away from the gate driver, the third highest common voltage is applied to a common electrode point far away from the data driver and close to the gate driver, and the lowest common voltage is applied to a common electrode close to both of the data driver and the gate driver.
Abstract:
An electric blanket used with a source voltage has a control device connected to the source voltage to control the source voltage in response to a predetermined temperature setting and a heating pad having a heating element arranged in the heating pad and connected to the output of the control device to generate heat. The heating element includes a first core, a first conductive element spirally wound around the first core, a second core arranged in surrounding relation to the first core and the first conductive element and a second conductive element spirally wound around the second core. The first ends of the first and second conductive elements are connected to the output of the control device and the second ends are connected to each other to define a conductive loop. The heating element further comprises an outer cover that covers the second core and the second conductive element and shields the internal components from external environment. The first conductive element comprises a third core and a conductive wire spirally wound around the third core. The conductive wire generates heat when electricity is applied.

Abstract:
A credit inquiry service system for inquiring about the credit standing of a check or credit card uses subscriber lines of a public communication network. The system includes credit inquiry terminals connected to the subscriber lines for generating and transmitting an inquiry request message requesting information regarding the credit standing of the check or credit card. The credit inquiry terminals also receive an inquiry result message corresponding to the inquiry request message via the subscriber lines. The system further includes a line multiplex device for one by one serially selecting the subscriber lines connected to the credit inquiry terminals, receiving the inquiry request message from one of the credit inquiry terminals connected to a selected subscriber line, and transmitting the inquiry result message corresponding to the inquiry request message to the corresponding credit inquiry terminal. A multiplexer is connected to a distributor of the public communication network to facilitate access of the subscriber lines, and to connect a selected subscriber line to the line multiplex device. A computer center receives the inquiry request message from the line multiplex device and transmits the inquiry request message to a card company's computer. The computer center then receives the inquiry result message indicating the credit standing of the check or credit card, and transmits the inquiry result message to the line multiplex device. The line multiplex device then transmits the inquiry result message back to the respective credit inquiry terminal via its corresponding subscriber line.
