    Abstract: An evacuation station for a surface cleaning apparatus has a housing having an air flow path extending from an evacuation station air inlet to an evacuation station air outlet. An air treatment assembly comprising an air treatment member, is moveable from an in use position in which the air treatment member is positioned in the air flow path and a second position in which the air treatment member is disconnected from the air flow path. The air treatment assembly is moveable only laterally as it is moved from the in use position to the second position.

    Abstract: A vacuum cleaner having a cyclone, a pre-motor filter, a suction motor, an openable lid and a handle. Each of the pre-motor filter and a suction motor are laterally spaced from the cyclone in a direction transverse to the cyclone axis of rotation. The cyclone axis of rotation intersects the openable lid. A plane, which is parallel to the cyclone axis of rotation and which is laterally spaced from the cyclone axis of rotation extends through the suction motor, the pre-motor filter and the handle.

    Abstract: A vacuum cleaner or a docking station has momentum separator having first and second sidewalls which are porous. A first air flow chamber is located exterior to the momentum separator between a first end wall, which is spaced from and faces the first side screen, and the first side screen. A second air flow chamber is located exterior to the momentum separator between a second end wall, which is spaced from and faces the second side screen, and the second side screen. In operation, air exits the momentum separator through the first and second side screens and travels through the first and second air flow chambers to the air outlet of the first and second air flow chambers.

    Abstract: A puller apparatus has a path through which an extrusion travels downstream from an outlet of an extruder and upper and lower extrusion puller members that define a portion of the path. At least one of the extrusion puller members is a drive member to provide forward motion to an extrusion. A mounting arm is moveably mounted to the puller apparatus at a mounting location. The mounting arm has a first portion on one side of the mounting location and a second portion on an opposed side of the mounting location. The upper extrusion puller member is mounted to the first portion of the mounting arm. The mounting arm is movable from a lowered position in which the upper extrusion puller member is positioned to engage an extrusion in the path and a raised position in which the upper extrusion puller member is spaced upwardly from the lowered position.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone having a primary air inlet and a secondary air inlet. A primary air flow path extends a the floor dirty air inlet of a surface cleaning head to the primary air inlet of the cyclone. An above floor cleaning assembly comprising an above floor cleaning wand and a flexible hose, the above floor cleaning assembly having an auxiliary dirty air inlet. A secondary air flow path extends from the auxiliary dirty air inlet to the secondary air inlet of the cyclone. When the surface cleaning apparatus is useable in a floor cleaning mode in which air enters the surface cleaning apparatus via the primary dirty air inlet of the surface cleaning head and an above floor cleaning mode in which air enters the surface cleaning apparatus via the auxiliary dirty air inlet.
