Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes identifying a plurality of channel responses corresponding to a plurality of channels. Each channel of the plurality of channels corresponds to a pairing of a transmit antenna with a receive antenna. Each channel response of the plurality of channel responses corresponds to a plurality of tone subsets. The method also includes selecting, for each channel of the plurality of channels, a subset of non-frequency domain components of the channel response for the channel, and transmitting, for at least one channel of the plurality of channels, at least one subset of channel state information (CSI). The at least one subset of CSI is based at least in part on at least one of the selected subsets of non-frequency domain components.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may transmit a set of candidate resource element parameters to a wireless device. Each candidate resource element parameters may indicate a nominal number of physical resource block resource elements. The base station may then transmit downlink control information and a data transmission during a slot. The data transmission may include one or more transport blocks whose size is based on a nominal number of physical resource block resource elements. The wireless device may select one of the candidate resource element parameters from the set of candidate resource element parameters based at least in part on the downlink data, determine a transport block size for the data transmission, and decode the data transmission.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices are adapted to facilitate multiplexing of reference signals. According to one example, a wireless communication device can multiplex a first reference signal and a second reference signal utilizing code division multiplexing for transmission across a first resource element and a second resource element. The first resource element may utilize a first subcarrier in a first OFDM symbol employing a first numerology. The second resource element may utilize a second subcarrier in a second OFDM symbol employing a second numerology that is different from the first numerology, where the second subcarrier overlaps in frequency at least a portion of the first subcarrier. The first and second OFDM including the multiplexed first and second reference signals may subsequently be transmitted. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide various wireless communication numerology designs that can maintain symbol boundary alignment while multiplexing different numerologies in wireless communication. The symbols may be scaled for different tone or subcarrier spacings while maintaining the symbol boundary alignment between different numerologies. Maintaining the symbol-boundary alignment between different numerologies enables symbol-level numerology multiplexing. The disclosed numerology designs enable low latency communication and improved interference management, and provide non-ambiguous symbol boundary timing reference for multiplexing different numerologies.

Abstract: Aspects provide for selecting a precoder mode for a transmission, changing a cyclic prefix (CP) length based on the selected precoder mode, and transmitting a signal that includes the changed CP length. Changing the CP length may involve using the selected precoder mode to lookup a value by which to change a nominal CP length. After changing the CP length, information indicating the changed CP length may be transmitted to a receiver of the signal. Precoder mode selection may be based on feedback information that indicates whether a receiver requests a change to the CP length. Precoder mode selection may be based on a received reference signal that indicates a condition of a communication channel. The reference signal may be used to select the precoder mode that results in the smallest relative delay spread, the largest relative delay spread compression, the largest relative beamforming gain, and/or the largest relative throughout.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described Techniques described may be utilized to avoid errors caused by resource allocation calculations, which may be indicated via higher layer signaling and/or determined within DCI. A base station may transmit downlink control information indicating resource allocation types to avoid errors. In other cases, the UE and/or base station may designate a particular resource block group size to avoid the potential errors. The UE and/or base station may calculate a number of resource blocks groups for a bandwidth part and allocate the size of the resource block group based on the calculation. The UE and/or base station may conduct a comparison between a bandwidth part size and a resource block group size to determine whether to designate a different resource block group size to avoid the errors. Similar techniques may be utilized in allocating resources for precoding resource block groups.

Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a network entity, a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration indicating one or more PRS resources. The UE determines that one or more transmission properties of the one or more resources should be modified and transmits PRS modification information to the network entity based on the one or more transmission properties of one or more PRS resources to be modified. The network entity may be a location server or location management function. The PRS modification information may include a request to modify the PRS configuration and information indicating a start time, a stop time, a duration, or a combination thereof, associated with modifying the PRS configuration.
