摘要: A geared cam expandable spinal implant. Rotational motion of a rotating portion is translated into linear motion of a yoke, which moves geared cams at the distal end of the implant to mate with, and walk along, teeth of corresponding racks. The walking of the gear cam teeth along the rack teeth creates a regular rate of implant expansion, reduces initial excessive expansion force applied to the implant, and provides fine adjustment of the expansion rate and force.

The systems, instruments, and methods may be used to verify a trajectory of a surgical tool during a procedure. The systems, instruments, and methods may receive one or more captured images of an anatomical portion of a patient; execute a surgical plan to insert the surgical tool into the anatomical portion; receive sensor data collected from one or more sensors being inserted into the anatomical portion; determine whether the sensor data corresponds to the surgical plan; and send, in response to determining that the sensor data does not correspond to the surgical plan, an alert indicating that the surgical tool is not being inserted according to the surgical plan. The one or more sensors may be attached to the surgical tool.

The control module (i) determines whether an outcome of the procedure is positive based on the combined score, and (ii) stores the determined outcome and the combined score in a memory.

摘要: A unibody implant movable between an expanded position and a contracted position is disclosed. The unibody implant may include a unitary expandable body defined by an inferior portion and a superior portion that are connected together. In various embodiments, a set screw may be rotatably supported by the body and configured to move a plug having a first inclined surface facing the distal side. In various embodiments, the set screw may be movable in the longitudinal direction towards the distal side upon rotation of the set screw along the rotation axis, for example. In various embodiments, movement of the set screw urges the plug against the superior portion thereby expanding a vertical distance between the superior and inferior sides of the body. In some embodiments, the plug may include a stabilizing element configured to transfer compressive forces between the superior portion and inferior portion.
