摘要: Systems, apparatuses and methods for bone fusion are disclosed. In particular, a fixation screw assembly is provided that comprises a bone engagement portion including a shaft and a head member. The assembly also includes a flexible washer member that can be operably attached and secured around the head member of the bone engagement portion. The washer member is polyaxial relative to the bone engagement portion, such that it can assume a variety of angles. The washer member can help prevent back out of the bone engagement portion when the bone engagement portion is implanted into a bone member. The design of the fixation screw assembly can be used in different fusion procedures, including fusion of the sacroiliac joint.

摘要: A holding screw system includes a head and a shank extending from the head. The shank has an upper portion, a threaded lower portion adjacent to the upper portion defining a junction. A self-tapping tip extends from the lower portion. An annular flange is disposed at the junction between the upper portion and the threaded lower portion of the shank. The annular flange has a peripheral surface and a diameter greater than each of the head and the upper portion thereby forming a stop between the upper portion and the threaded lower portion. A bracket arm has one end extending directly from the upper portion. An open annular retainer is located at the other end of the bracket arm. The open annular retainer defines a bore and extends beyond the peripheral surface of the annular flange.

摘要: A medical device can include a first anchor for attachment to a first bone fragment and a second anchor for attachment to a second bone fragment. The second anchor attachment can be coupled to the first anchor via a compression element between the first anchor and the second anchor. The medical device can include a resorbable element maintaining the first anchor and the second anchor at a first distance. The resorbable element can be configured to at least partially resorb after insertion into a patient. After the resorbable element is at least partially resorbed, the compression element forces the first anchor and/or the second anchor to translate such that the first anchor and the second anchor are at a second distance, thereby compressing the first bone fragment and the second bone fragment.

摘要: A spinal bone fastener assembly (1) is proposed for stabilising the posterior spine. The pedicle screw (10) comprises at least two parallel bone threads, namely a first bone thread and a second bone thread, both following a helical path around the shaft axis. The first and second bone threads at least in the second shaft middle section define a first substantially cylindrical thread section, and a second substantially cylindrical thread section, respectively. The first and second bone threads have different crest heights and/or outer thread diameters at least in the second shaft middle section.
