Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor includes providing a mold defining a planar capillary space; placing a measure of precursor in fluid communication with the capillary space; creating a vacuum around the mold and within the planar capillary space; melting the precursor; allowing the melted precursor to flow into the capillary space; and cooling the melted precursor within the mold such that the precursor forms a semiconductor, the operations of melting the precursor, allowing the precursor to flow into the capillary space, and cooling the melted precursor occurring in the vacuum.

Abstract: A hull mounted, steerable marine drive system having trim actuation is both steerable through 360 degrees and is trimmable. The marine drive system includes a watertight enclosure assembly for sealing the hull, which is adapted for keeping much of the marine drive system from being exposed to water. The enclosure includes a gasket flange plate, a retention plate and a folded gasket. The gasket flange plate closely follows the contour of the hull and enhances the hydrodynamic and wake performance of the present marine drive system. Further, marine drive system includes a forward-neutral-reverse (FNR) transmission assembly, a drive unit assembly having a trimmable upper unit and a steerable lower unit, a steering actuator assembly, a trim actuator assembly, and, preferably, trim foils for providing enhanced negative and positive trim and for providing enhanced positive and negative lift.

Abstract: A segmented food product container for segregating a secondary food product from a primary food product before the segmented food product container is opened and the two ingredients mixed together prior to consumption. The segmented container includes a primary container, defined by cup member, and a secondary container defined by a cylinder having two open ends, at least one end of which is internally threaded. Abstract: A tire building drum is disclosed having first and second sets of deck segments, disposed in an alternating configuration about a central shaft. Each of the segments is mounted to a pair of axially movable hub units via an associated scissor linkage. The scissor linkages of the first segments are slidably mounted to the hub units and biased toward a median plane of the tire building drum. When the hub units are separated, the second segments are disposed radially inwardly of and between the first segments. Movement of the hub units toward one another through a first range of motion expands the first deck segments to an expanded diameter of the drum, and movement of the hub units toward one another through a second range of motion expands the second deck segments to allow the second deck segments to be received between the first deck segments.

Abstract: A carrying system for a SUV hardtop, which includes a carrier that allows the hardtop and doors to be detached from the vehicle but still kept with the vehicle while removed. The carrying system allows for easy attachment and securing of the hardtop and doors to the carrier. In some exemplary embodiments, the carrier attaches to the hitch and to the rear-mounted spare tire carrier of the SUV. In other exemplary embodiments, the carrier attaches to the vehicle only at the hitch. Conveying the doors and hardtop with the SUV allows the SUV, at any time and in any place, to be converted quickly between convertible and non-convertible modes, depending on weather conditions and other factors.
