    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a Bluetooth signal receiving device and method. The Bluetooth signal receiving device includes an energy detector circuit, a radio frequency (RF) power detector circuit, an analog-digital converter circuit, and an automatic gain control circuit. The energy detector circuit detects a significant signal, having energy higher than background noise by a threshold value or more, from a received signal. The RF power detector circuit detects the magnitude of the received signal. The analog-digital converter circuit converts the analog value of the received signal into a digital value, and outputs the digital value. When the significant signal is detected, the automatic gain control circuit determines any one of predetermined coarse gain intervals to be a first coarse gain interval of the received signal by taking into account the magnitude of the received signal detected by the RF power detection circuit.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a Bluetooth signal receiving device and method. The Bluetooth signal receiving device includes a frequency shift demodulator circuit, a sampler circuit, a training bit pattern discriminator circuit, and a frequency offset compensation circuit. The frequency shift demodulator circuit generates a baseband signal by performing frequency shift demodulation on a received signal, and generates a frequency proportion signal having a value proportional to the frequency of the baseband signal. The sampler circuit generates a plurality of series of bit streams from the frequency proportion signal. The training bit pattern discriminator circuit determines whether the plurality of series of bit streams generated by the sampler circuit satisfies a training bit pattern condition. The frequency offset compensation circuit compensates the frequency proportion signal by using a measured error metric as a effective error metric when the plurality of series of bit streams satisfies the training bit pattern condition.

    Abstract: A pulse width modulation (PWM) signal generation circuit and method are disclosed herein. The PWM signal generation circuit includes an integer part pulse generation circuit, and a fractional part pulse generation circuit. The integer part pulse generation circuit generates an integer part pulse using the integer part of the digitized value of a duty cycle, i.e., the ratio of the time during which any one of high and low levels is maintained to the period of a PWM signal. The fractional part pulse generation circuit generates the PWM signal using the integer part pulse and the fractional part of the digitized value of the duty cycle.

The switching control circuit is further configured to generate a first sample signal by sampling the voltage level of a first node, and to determine, responding to the first sample signal in time domain, an pulse width adjustment adapted to adjust at least one of the length of a second switching interval and the length of a common blocking interval.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a proximity sensor and a proximity detection method for the proximity sensor.     Abstract: A receiver performs independent packet detection using synchronization words with orthogonality when multiple signals on which frequency-shift keying is performed coexist.
