Abstract: A tensioning device includes a circular spring, and a pulley rotatably connected to the circular spring. The pulley includes a circumferential groove, which has a V-shaped cross-section defined by two lateral converging walls. The pulley also includes a flexible rope having a variable cross section, extending between a first end connected to the pulley and a second end intended to be connected to the cable. The pulley is rotatably movable around an axis, between a first position in which the flexible rope is arranged in the circumferential groove around the axis, and a second position in which the flexible rope is unwound.

Abstract: A railroad track circuit determines occupancy status of a portion of a railroad track, and includes: a track including first and second rails; a transmitter including first and second connection terminals to generate a voltage between connection terminals; and first and second receiver units, each including first and second measurement terminals, the first and second receiver units measuring voltage between first and second measurement terminals. The output connection terminals of the transmitter connect to the respective rails at a first connection location, using first and second cables. The first measurement terminal of the first receiver unit is connected to the first rail at a second connection location, using a third cable and the first measurement terminal of the second receiver unit is connected to the first rail at a third location, using a fourth cable, the second and third locations forming respectively first and second boundaries of the track circuit.

Abstract: A method for inspecting the underframe of a railway vehicle by an inspection device that includes a processing block and a motor system, the processing block commanding and controlling the motor system which moves the inspection device until it is positioned at least at one destination point, the method including: given a list of coordinates of points of interest of the underframe expressed in a reference frame having as origin a reference point, moving the inspection device up to a predetermined point whose position relative to the reference point is known, recording the location of the reference point as a function of the position, and determining at least one command to be sent to the motor system in order to position the inspection device at a point of interest from the list based on the coordinates of the point of interest and the location of the reference point.
