摘要: A method of measuring an object is disclosed. In one step, a first interference pattern of interference waves is created. In another step, first measurement information is measured by measuring the scattering of the first interference pattern off the object, the transmission of the first interference pattern through the object, or the transmission of the first interference pattern around the object. In yet another step, a second interference pattern of interfered waves is created having a different shape or different scale than the first interference pattern. In another step, second measurement information is measured by measuring the scattering of the second interference pattern off the object, the transmission of the second interference pattern through the object, or the transmission of the second interference pattern around the object. In still another step, measurements of the object are determined using knowledge about shape of the first and second interference patterns and the first and second measurement information.

摘要: Systems and methods for manipulating molecular material are provided. In one aspect, for example, a method for manipulating molecular material may include positioning an uncharged needle structure in electrical proximity with a charged molecular material at a first locus in a liquid environment, charging the needle structure such that at least a portion of the charged molecular material becomes associated with the needle structure, moving the needle structure and the first locus relative to one another, and discharging the needle structure to disassociate the charged molecular material at a second locus.

摘要: A panel of lipid biomarkers of preeclampsia in pregnant women, useful prior to onset of symptoms to identify women at risk of preeclampsia as early as 12-14 weeks gestation is disclosed. Methods of diagnosing a pregnant subject at risk of developing preeclampsia, and methods of reducing symptoms or preventing the onset of preeclampsia in a pregnant subject, employing the disclosed lipid biomarkers are also disclosed.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for providing CAx data may include (1) storing a model of an engineering object as a group of nodes including one or more feature nodes, (2) associating a corresponding transaction history with each feature node, the transaction history indicating one or more states for a feature over time, and (3) determining a state of a selected feature node at a selected point in time by accessing the corresponding transaction history of the selected feature node. Various other methods and systems are also disclosed.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein are related to polycrystalline textured materials exhibiting heterogeneous templated grain growth, methods of forming such materials, and related systems. An example of a method of forming a polycrystalline textured material exhibiting heterogeneous templated grain growth includes providing a plurality of seeds. The method also includes aligning at least some of the plurality of seeds (e.g., single-crystal seeds) so that a selected crystallographic orientation of at least some of the plurality of seeds are substantially aligned with each other. Additionally, the method includes positioning the plurality of seeds in a powder matrix. The method then includes pressing the plurality of seeds and the powdered matrix to form a green body. Further, the method includes sintering the green body at a temperature that is sufficient to grow a plurality of grains from corresponding ones of the plurality of seeds to form the polycrystalline textured material.

摘要: A drive train for supplying power to a power tool may include, a motor, a motor shaft, a rotational coupling mechanism connected to the motor shaft, and a drive shaft connected to the rotational coupling mechanism that forms the shape of a “U.” A pair of enmeshed bevel gears transfers the motion from the motor shaft to an orthogonal tool bit. The drive train may also include a hammering device that transfers a rotational impacting motion to the tool bit. A hand power tool for driving a screw may include a tool shell with an integrally formed vertical handle, a rotational recess formed into the tool shell opposite the handle, and a tool chuck within the rotational recess that drives a screw. The tool may incorporate the drive train as described above. The tool may include a mechanism for locking the tool chuck in a particular position.
