Abstract:
An expandable modular interlocking pallet system comprises a plurality of elongated modules, each including a lattice array for supporting a load. The module includes a first side having two female tracks and a second side opposite the first having two complementary male tracts adapted to interlock with the female tracks of an adjacent module. The module also includes a slam latch nested in the module which may engage a striker positioned on an adjacent module. The striker allows for disassembly of the pallet system as desired. Passageways are provided in each module that allow forks of a lift truck or the like to move the interlocked pallet.
Abstract:
Systems, methods and apparatus for reducing instabilities in a plasma-based processing system are disclosed. An exemplary method includes applying power to a plasma with a power amplifier; determining whether low frequency instability oscillations are present or high frequency instability oscillations are present in the plasma; and altering, based upon whether high or low frequency instability oscillations are present, an impedance of a load that is experienced by the power amplifier, the load experienced by the power amplifier including at least an impedance of the plasma.
Abstract:
Provided is a system and method for archive in a distributed file system. The system includes at least one Name Node structured and arranged to map distributed data allocated to at least one Active Data Node, the Name Node further structured and arranged to direct manipulation of the distributed data by the Active Data Node. The system further includes at least one Archive Data Node coupled to at least one data read/write device and a plurality of portable data storage elements compatible with the data read/write device, the Archive Data Node structured and arranged to receive distributed data from at least one Active Data Node, archive the received distributed data to at least one portable data storage element and respond to the Name Node directions to manipulate the archived data. An associated method of use is also provided.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems, methods and apparatuses for dissociating a non-activated gas through a disc-shaped plasma in a remote plasma source. Two inductive elements, one on either side of the disc-shaped plasma, generate a magnetic field that induces electric fields that sustain the disc-shaped plasma. The inductive elements can be coiled conductors having any number of loops and can be arranged in planar or vertical coils or a combination of planar and vertical coils. Additionally, the ratio of inductive element radius to gap distance between the two inductive elements can be configured to achieve a desired vertical plasma confinement.
Abstract:
A storage system is provided having at least one primary storage unit, the primary storage unit having a power source, a server mother board, an expander device connected to a second data storage unit and a plurality of retractable media drawers wherein each of the retractable media drawers comprise a plurality of data storage elements. Each of the retractable media drawers maintain connectivity to the power source, the server mother board and the expander device when each of the media drawers is between a first position that is extended partially away from the primary data storage unit and a second position that is at least partially retracted from the first position towards the primary data storage unit.
Abstract:
A pourer (10) couplable to an opening (12) of a container (14). The pourer (10) includes a spout (20), which has an outlet passage (22) for discharging liquid from the container (14) and a breather passage (24) for intake of air into the container (14). At least a portion of the spout (20) being deformable, and the outlet passage (22) and breather passage (24) co-extending through the deformable portion. A closure device (34) is used to selectively clamp the deformable portion of the spout (20), thereby closing the spout (20) by constricting both passages (22, 24).
Abstract:
This invention is a vending machine and components parts that include a sophisticated positioning system, gripper and trays for improved efficiency in product retrieval and delivery. Following product selection, the positioning system quickly transports the gripper through the X-Y plane to the front of a tray queue containing the selected product. The positioning system uses a movement assisting member that may be in the form of a torsion spring or counter weight for improved efficiency. Related methods are also disclosed.
Abstract:
This invention is a vending machine and components parts that include a product retrieval and delivery system deployed within a uniquely designed, insulated cabinet that includes an adjustable ventilation system, and a conveniently located compact, easily removable modular climate control unit. A unique product delivery port and chute are provided as part of the cabinet. Related methods are also disclosed.
