Abstract:
A wireless local area network system capable of supporting host mobility services and an operation method therefor. The wireless local area network system includes a gateway performing the functions of a home agent in mobile wireless communication environments and sending prefix information; and access points, each access point allocating an Internet Protocol (IP) address to a mobile host within a range thereof by using prefix information of the gateway. Thereafter, each access point produces and sends a Binding Update list that corresponds to the mobile hosts to the gateway. Thus, the present invention supports the mobility for mobile hosts with or without a mobile IPv6 stack, in a wireless local area network.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a memory device using a multi-domain state of a semiconductor material, and more particularly to a magnetic memory device, in which a ferromagnetic layer for recording magnetic data serves as a sensing layer so as to have a simple structure, shorten a manufacturing process, and reduce the unit cost of production. The planar hall effect or magneto-resistance is used to measure multi-domain states so as to read data stored in a multi-level state.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for a wireless network to maintain a QOS is provided. The apparatus includes a resource calculating unit which calculates resources needed to transmit packets if a transmission rate of a network changes, a comparing unit which compares the calculated resources and resources allotted by an access point of the network; and a control unit which determines whether to request additional resources by using a result of the comparison by the comparing unit.
Abstract:
An access device and method for preventing transmission of copyrighted contents to an external network and a method for the same. The access device includes a packet-header analyzer analyzing a header of a packet received from a home network device, a copyrighted-content sensor detecting whether the packet includes copyrighted content as a result of the analysis, an address converter for converting a packet source IP address into an IP address supported by the external network if a packet destination address is an external network address as a result of the analysis, a mapping-table generator generating a mapping table for managing a mapping a relationship between the packet source IP address and the converted IP address, and a packet transmitter transmitting the packet to the IP address supported by the external network and discarding the packet to block transmission of the copyrighted content to the external network if the copyrighted-content sensor detects that the packet includes the copyrighted content.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the invention provides an image correction method comprising: providing a first image; providing a first image; providing viewpoint information about a viewpoint which observes the first image; dividing the first image into two or more segmented images along a horizontal direction of the first image; and providing a second image converted from the first image by converting each of the two or more segmented images based on the viewpoint information and vertical lengths of each of the segmented images.
Abstract:
Methods are provided for setting up a network for IP communication between mobile terminals. A first mobile terminal determines a second mobile terminal that will communicate with the first mobile terminal. The first mobile terminal generates network setup information of the first mobile terminal for the IP communication, and performs network setup using the network setup information. The first mobile terminal generates a network setup message including network setup information of the second mobile terminal. The network setup message is sent from the first mobile terminal to the second mobile terminal.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a method for remotely controlling peripheral devices in a mobile communication terminal includes acquiring a profile for a controlled peripheral device, configuring a control application for the controlled peripheral device based on the acquired profile, and controlling the controlled peripheral device using the configured control application.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for a multifunction remote control device, allows a user to display the contents of a mobile terminal on a larger screen, while retaining use of the mobile terminal's other functions. The method includes checking whether the mobile terminal is connected to the multifunction remote control device, running a multi-screen mode for composing a service environment in which control and call connection functions of the mobile terminal are executable, by implementing a wireless interface of the mobile terminal, and controlling basic functions and additional functions of the mobile terminal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to pyrazolylmethylamine-piperazine derivatives and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts effective as calcium channel modulators and a method of manufacturing the same. The present invention also relates to the medicinal use of the above compounds as therapeutic treatment of diseases due to their effect as calcium channel modulators.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system for interconnecting an ad-hoc network and an IS network, and a wireless terminal and communication method therefor are disclosed. The communication method includes transmitting a discovery signal including terminal information of the wireless terminal to a radio network, receiving a response signal including information for network access from a base station or another wireless terminal, which has received the discovery signal, selecting an operation mode for access to a network through the base station or the other wireless terminal, based on the response signal, communicating with the base station and accessing the IS network when the selected operation mode corresponds to a first mode and accessing a network, to which the other wireless terminal belongs, through a licensed frequency band of the IS network when the selected operation mode corresponds to a second mode. Accordingly, it is possible to support communication through an existing infrastructure and support communication of an ad-hoc network scheme, through use of a licensed frequency band assigned to the provider of an existing IS network.
