Abstract:
A method for recording data on a recording medium having one or more recording layers. The method includes reading control information having a plurality of control information units for controlling recording/reproducing of data from the recording medium. The control information unit includes an identifier of the recording layer to which the control information unit applies and a recording velocity applicable to the corresponding recording layer. A sequence of the information units is ordered according to the recording velocity and the recording layer identifier.
Abstract:
In one embodiment the method includes reading speed information from a specific area of the recording medium. The speed information includes one or more speed flags to indicate whether a corresponding speed is applicable to the recording medium. A first speed flag for a first recording speed lower than a second recording speed is set to be dependent on a second speed flag for the second recording speed. Data is recorded on a main data area of the optical recording medium based on the read speed information.

A welding wire weaving apparatus for a submerged arc welding carriage includes a truck running in a welding direction, a control panel controlling parameters required for welding and weaving operations, a welding wire reel mounting a welding wire thereon, a welding wire supplier supplying the welding wire to an upper part of a member to be welded, a weaver unit weaving the welding wire transversely, a supplier supporting shaft supporting the welding wire supplier at an upper part of the truck, and a weaver unit connection bar connecting the weaver unit to the supplier supporting shaft. The welding wire supplier includes a supply guiding roller, a compressive supplying roller, a welding wire guide bundle, a needle bearing, a welding wire guide bundle and an insulator formed between the needle bearing and the welding wire guide bundle.
Abstract:
A recording medium, such as a high-density and/or read-only recording medium, such as BD-ROM, which includes an identification information, which can identify whether optional information, such as copy protection information, is needed or not for the playback of contents stored on the recording medium, and to methods and apparatuses for forming, recording, and reproducing data on the recording medium.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a record media, and more particularly, to a method of recording disc identification information within a management area of a recordable optical disc and an optical disc recording/reproducing method using the same. In recording optical disc identification information within a disc management area, the present invention includes recording a media type identification information identifying a type of a record media of an optical disc and a disc manufacturer identification information identifying a manufacturer of the optical disc, respectively. Accordingly, the present invention provides various specified methods of recording disc identification information within a management area in a high-density optical disc, thereby enabling to efficiently cope with the recording/reproducing of the optical disc using the recorded identification information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high-density disk that is structured to prevent a collision of an optical pickup's objective lens with the high-density disk if the disk is placed upside down in a disk device that is able to record and reproduce signals to/from the high-density disk. A high-density disk recording medium according to the present invention is structured such that, wherein a recording layer having high-density pit patterns is offset from a center plane of disk thickness, a center hole of the disk recording medium is asymmetric in shape with respect to the center plane where, for example, both entrances of the center hole have mutually different diameters.
Abstract:
A method for recording control information on a recording medium. The method includes generating control information for controlling recording/reproducing data on/from the recording medium. The control information includes a first speed information indicating a maximum recording speed, a second speed information indicating a minimum recording speed, and a third speed information indicating one or more basic recording speeds. The third speed information represents whether each of the basic recording speeds are applicable to the recording medium or not. Thereafter, the method calls for recording the control information on a specific area of the recording medium.
Abstract:
A method for joining together two or more ceramic and/or metal parts by providing a braze consisting of a mixture of copper oxide, silver, and ceramic particulate. The braze is placed upon the surfaces of the parts, which are then held together for sufficient time and at a sufficient temperature to cause the braze to form a bond between the parts. The addition of the ceramic particulate increases the viscosity of the braze, decreasing squeeze out, decreasing the formation of air pockets, decreases the formation of brittle phases by providing nucleation sites and increases the flexural strength of the joint.
Abstract:
A reproducing method and apparatus are discussed. According to an embodiment, the method includes checking whether or not a current position is a linking data area based on an identifier to identify the linking data area, the linking data area preceded and followed by a real data area and removing invalid data in the linking data area and outputting continuously the real data in the real data area before and behind the linking data area, when the identifier is detected.
Abstract:
In a recordable optical disc including at least one recording layer, write strategy information is recorded within disc control information, so that standardized disc control information can be uniformly applied to data recording and reproduction. At least one disc information is recorded as the disc control information within the management area. The disc control informations are recorded for at least one write strategy for a same writing speed and recording layer.
