Abstract: A system for controlling air quality of a building space includes HVAC equipment configured to serve the building space, sensors configured to measure a plurality of parameters relating to the building space, and a control system. The control system is configured to receive data from the sensors, determine a feedforward air quality contribution, determine a feedback air quality contribution based on a measured air quality and an air quality setpoint for the building space, combine the feedforward air quality contribution and the feedback air quality contribution to determine a target amount of ventilation or filtration to be provided to the building space by the HVAC equipment, and control the HVAC equipment to provide the target amount of ventilation or filtration.

Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a reheat valve configured to receive a refrigerant flow and regulate division of the refrigerant flow provided to a reheat coil and a condenser. The HVAC system also includes a condenser fan configured to draw a flow of outdoor air across the condenser and a controller communicatively coupled to the reheat valve and the condenser fan. The controller is configured to monitor a position of the reheat valve and to control operation of the condenser fan based on a correspondence between the position of the reheat valve and a threshold degree of opening.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to air intake filter assemblies, and more particularly to air intake assemblies for an outdoor portion of a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. In an embodiment, a filter assembly is configured to filter an airflow entering an air intake of a HVAC unit. The filter assembly includes a support structure and a plurality of filter slats, each having a fine filtration material, each disposed within the support structure, and wherein the plurality of filter slats is configured in a louvered relationship and actuated between a closed configuration through which the airflow passes and an open configuration through which the airflow passes.

Abstract: A method for automatically detecting and mitigating risks related to cybersecurity in a Building Management System (BMS) includes evaluating settings of a user account of the BMS; identifying a security risk associated with the settings of the user account; evaluating settings of a network device of the BMS; identifying another security risk associated with the settings of the network device, presenting a user interface, wherein the user interface allows a user to view a policy recommendation associated with either security risk; and implementing the change in the settings of the user account or a change in the settings of the network device based at least in part on an input from the user via the user interface or an automated response to the policy recommendation. The method allows for administrators to easily view and change settings of user accounts and network devices to improve the cybersecurity of the BMS.

Abstract: An automatic work order generation system for model predictive maintenance (MPM) of building equipment including an MPM system including an equipment controller to operate the building equipment to affect an environmental condition of a building. The MPM system can perform a predictive optimization to determine a service time at which to service the building equipment. The automatic work order generation system includes an equipment service scheduler that can determine whether any service providers are available to perform equipment service within a predetermined time range of the service time. In response to determining that service providers are available to perform the equipment service, the equipment service scheduler can select a service provider and an appointment time based on one or more service provider attributes. The equipment service scheduler can generate a service work order and transmit the service work order to the service provider to schedule a service appointment.

Abstract: A heat pump system includes a refrigerant circuit that has a compressor, a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a reheat heat exchanger, a modulating valve, and a reversing valve. The reversing valve is configured to transition between a first configuration to direct refrigerant from the compressor toward the modulating valve and a second configuration to direct the refrigerant from the compressor toward the first heat exchanger. The heat pump system also includes control circuitry configured to concurrently maintain the reversing valve in the first configuration and adjust a position of the modulating valve to direct a first portion of the refrigerant from the modulating valve to the second heat exchanger and a second portion of the refrigerant from the modulating valve to the reheat heat exchanger based on an operating mode of the heat pump system.
