Abstract:
It is an exemplified object of the present invention to provide a radiator mechanism and electronic apparatus having the radiator mechanism that can prevent destruction, deterioration, and malfunction due to heat of exoergic components or other electronic components, thermal deformation of a housing thereof, and low-temperature burn, without preventing the electronic apparatus including a printed board from miniaturization. The radiator mechanism is comprised of a cooling fan and a through hole provided in a motherboard, thereby thermally protecting a variety of circuit components mounted on the motherboard to provide a stable operation.
Abstract:
Low-pressure-side condensate is subjected to convection heating while dripping in high-pressure-side steam, and to surface turbulent heat transfer due to a circulating flow caused by downflow condensate falling after overflowing. Thus, the temperature of the low-pressure-side condensate can be raised efficiently with satisfactory heat transfer. A bypass connecting pipe enables high-pressure-side condensate to bypass condensate of a reheat chamber and merge with the condensate while keeping a high temperature. Thus, heating of the low-pressure-side condensate is performed sufficiently, with a space for falling being minimized for compactness. Also, condensate in a high amount of heat exchange is fed toward a condensate pump. Hence, a multistage pressure condenser permitting compactness and increased efficiency of a power plant can be constructed.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device having a body and a first slot formed in the body for selectively accommodating a battery and a first recording medium drive having substantially the same width as that of the battery. The first slot has a first width. The portable electronic device further has a second slot formed in the body for selectively accommodating a second recording medium drive having a width larger than that of the first recording medium drive and the battery with an attachment attached to a side surface thereof. The second slot has a second width larger than the first width of the first slot. With this configuration, the two batteries having the same shape can be simultaneously accommodated into the first and second slots, thereby allowing long-term driving of the portable electronic device.
Abstract:
Finely divided hydrophobic silica powder having a number average particle size from 3 to 10 nm and a BET surface area from 195 to 290 m.sup.2 /g is dry blended with particles of a thermosetting resin composition having a volumetric average particle size from 5 to 20 .mu.m in a proportion from 0.05 to 2.0 parts per 100 parts of the resin particles on weight basis. Sieving efficiency of the powder coating composition thus processed is remarkably improved.
Abstract:
A battery protection circuit has an overcharge detection circuit that detects overcharge of a battery and a charge inhibition circuit that, when overcharge is detected, inhibits charging with a delay produced by a capacitance element. This charge inhibition circuit can detect a short circuit in the capacitance element that is used to produce a predetermined delay, and, when it detects a short circuit in the capacitance element, it inhibits charging without delay. Thus, since charging is inhibited even when the capacitance element is short-circuited, a power supply unit incorporating this battery protection circuit is safer to use.
Abstract:
A single semiconductor chip containing a control portion and a power portion including a power element associated with the control portion and a concave portion formed between the control portion and the power portion is mounted on a die pad so as to separate the control portion and the power portion. The die pad has a convex portion which is received in the concave portion and the semiconductor chip is divided to separate the control portion and the power portion by applying pressure to the chip or by applying laser beams, and the separated semiconductor chip portions are simultaneously bonded to the die pad.
Abstract:
A radial flow turbine rotor comprises a trunconical shaft and a plurality of blades provided on the periphery of the shaft and inclined to the axis of the shaft. The shaft and the blades are integrally formed of ceramics. The profile of the cross section of each blade, taken along a line perpendicular to the axis of the shaft, is straight between the tip and base of the blade. The tip of each blade is 1.2 to 2.0 mm thick, and each blade grows thicker from the tip toward the base.
Abstract:
A modified polyester resin composition for coating use comprising a polyester resin modified with 5 to 30% by weight of the total solid of a branched fatty acid having 8 and more carbon atoms and with 5 to 30% by weight of the total solid of a cyclic ester represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkylene group having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, the resin having a hydroxyl value of 70 to 300. The present resin composition is specifically useful as resinous vehicle in a top coat composition for plastic and other substrates.
Abstract:
Cracking of a ceramic bearing fitted over a metal shaft is prevented by grooves on an inner periphery of a ceramic inner race and/or on an outer periphery of the metal shaft.
