Abstract:
The present invention relates to the formation of conjugates (e.g., protein-protein dimers) using a-halo-acetophenones, benzylic halides, quinones, and related compounds as a conjugating system. The invention also features compositions that include the conjugates described herein, as well as uses of these conjugates in methods of medical treatment.
Abstract:
Site-specific modifications of proteins at their N-termini are provided. In particular, a chemical modification of proteins at their N-termini via a transamination reaction to form homogeneous adducts such as, the corresponding oxime derivatives is provided. Methods of making and using the adducts in radio-labeling, molecular imaging applications, and treatment of disorders such as cancer, Crohn's disease, arthritis, atherothrombosis and plaque rupture are also provided.
Abstract:
An optical sensing device includes a shell, at least one light emitting member, a rotator type shading member and at least one optical sensing member. The shell is formed with a black-body condition space having a light emitting chamber, a shading chamber and at least one optical sensing chamber. The light emitting member projects a light beam. The rotator type shading member is rotatably restrained within the shading chamber, and has a geometric center and a weight center offset from the geometric center. When the optical sensing device is lifted in a lifting azimuth or lowered in a lowering azimuth, the rotator type shading member is rotated by the geometric center to make the weight center located in the lowering azimuth with respect to the geometric center. The optical sensing member is arranged in the optical sensing chamber, and senses the light beam to accordingly send out a sensing signal.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a mobile electronic device and a power management method of a battery module thereof. The mobile electronic device includes a battery module, a charging/discharging module, and a control module. The charging/discharging module is coupled with the battery module. The control module is coupled with the battery module and the charging/discharging module. When the power supply is coupled with the mobile electronic device and the system time is not within a maintenance period, the control module controls the charging/discharging module to maintain capacity of the battery module within a first capacity range. When the power supply is coupled with the mobile electronic device and the system time is within the maintenance period, the control module controls the charging/discharging module to maintain the capacity of the battery module within a second capacity range.
Abstract:
An audio jack connector includes an insulative housing (1) having a main body (10) defining a pair of opposite front and rear faces (11, 12) and a pair of opposite first and second side walls (15, 16), a set of columned mating portions (17) extending forwardly on the front face, and a set of receiving chambers (111) extending in the main body and passing through the mating portions for insertion of plugs (200); and a plurality of contacts (3) retained in the first side wall and arranged in several different rows along a transverse direction so as to protrude into the receiving chambers respectively, each row of the contacts being arranged along a front-to-back direction in accordance with an insertion direction of the plug and perpendicular to the transverse direction.
Abstract:
A gamma-voltage generator is provided to generating a plurality of first gamma voltages and second gamma voltages. At least one of the first gamma voltages generated by DACs of the gamma-voltage generator within a first frame period and at least one of the second gamma voltages generated by the DACs within a second frame period are outputted from a same one of the gamma buffers of the gamma-voltage generator, whereby the transmitted gamma voltages have substantially equal offset. Therefore, the display quality approaches an ideal condition.
Abstract:
A chip testing circuit is disclosed. The chip testing circuit uses a judging circuit to switch the connection of the data compressing circuit between data compressing base units which compresses 4 XIOs, so as to obtain testing data by one single interface circuit and to increase the testing throughput.
Abstract:
Content-based analysis is performed on multimedia content prior to encoding the multimedia content in the rendering chain of processing. A content-based index stream is generated based on the content-based analysis and the content-based index stream is embedded in the multimedia file during rendering. The content-based index stream can be used to generate a content-based searchable index when necessary.
Abstract:
An operation method to operate a tilt sensor with power-saving mechanism is provided. The operation method comprises the steps as follows. An accommodating space is provided such that a blocking object is displaceable in the accommodating space according to the gravity. A working mode is performed such that a light-emitting element emits light according to a first current and at least two first light sensors sense a light amount to determine a tilt angle of the tilt sensor. When the light amount doesn't change or when a light amount variation sensed by a second light sensor is smaller than the threshold value within a predetermined time period, a power-saving mode is performed such that the light-emitting element emits light according to a second current smaller than the first current. When the light amount variation is larger than the specific value during the power-saving mode, the working mode is performed.
