摘要： It is the objective of the present invention to easily change between an image display application and the viewing of a program for a digital television, and to improve the usability of the television for operating an image display application. The display change list for a (channel) Up/Down key of a remote controller is dynamically altered so that, during the execution of an image display application, an application screen is displayed by using the Up/Down key. Further, when a memory card is loaded immediately after the television is powered on, a display application can be automatically activated. Furthermore, while a user is watching the television, the contents of a memory card is displayed on a small window in one part of the screen, and execution of the image application controlled by the user. In addition, no icons are displayed while an important program is on displaying. Moreover, since the same color and the same arrangement are used for the four function icons as are used for the four color keys on the remote controller, various processes can be performed for the image application.

摘要： Each controlled device holds a remote control panel optimum for its operation environment. A control device has a remote controller unit for operating the remote control panel of each controlled device. Each controlled device reconstructs the remote control panel according to the shape etc. of the remote controller unit, and supplies the control device with thus reconstructed remote control panel. The user remote controls the desired controlled device, utilizing the remote control panel displayed on the control device. Thus there can be realized a simple and easily understandable operation environment, which matches the controlled device connected to the network.

摘要： In a system for viewing accumulated contents by using a cellular phone, if an error prevents the content to be viewed, a simple operation is performed to view the rest at home. In accordance with a viewing request from a cellular phone, a television receiver, while sequentially receiving data from D-VHS, converts the data into a format suitable for reception and play in a cellular phone by using an encoder. After this format conversion, the television receiver stores in a play position memory a time stamp indicating a position information of a content and a sequence number used for transmission in TCP/IP. The cellular phone notifies the television receiver of a decode error of a reception data. When receiving a confirmation response of a normal play from the cellular phone, the television receiver clears the data of the play position memory, and otherwise holds the data of the play position memory.
