摘要： In a television device (audio output device), audio output performance information of the television device is pre-stored in an EDID-ROM. When an AV amplifier is connected to the television device, a control unit rewrites “2ch” audio output performance information of the television device stored in the EDID-ROM of an HDMI port which is different from the HDMI port to which the AV amplifier is connected, to “5.1ch” audio output performance information of the AV amplifier.

摘要： When an image processing apparatus capable of connecting to a digital camera is to perform image-correction processing on irreversible-compression encoded image data acquired from the digital camera, it is determined whether the image-correction processing can be executed by the connected digital camera. When the processing can be executed, it is confirmed whether or not RAW data that corresponds to the irreversible-compression encoded image data is present in the digital camera. If the corresponding RAW data is present in the digital camera, the digital camera is requested to execute the image-correction processing based on the RAW data. This makes it possible to suppress degradation in the image quality more than when directly correcting an irreversible-compression encoded image.

摘要： A control system includes a control apparatus and a controlled apparatus, wherein the control apparatus is remotely controlled by a remote controller. The controlled apparatus transmits a control panel to the control apparatus. The control panel includes icons used to control the controlled apparatus. The controlled apparatus includes (a) a communication unit which receives, from the control apparatus, remote control information including information about operation keys included in the remote controller, the remote control information being received before the controlled apparatus transmits the control panel to the control apparatus, and (b) a modifying unit which modifies a position of the icons included in the control panel according to the remote control information. The communication unit transmits the control panel to the control apparatus after the modifying unit modifies the position of the icons included in the control panel according to the remote control information.

The TV apparatus detects the presence or absence of relevancy between the images recorded by the plurality of image recording apparatuses based on the additional information captured and reproduced from the plurality of image recording apparatuses, and then displays, on a display, a related image display screen that allows a viewer to recognize the detected related images.
