摘要： An advanced structural foam molding technology for improving the dispersion of the blowing agent in the polymer matrix has been invented. This technological innovation is an improvement on the well-known existing low-pressure structural foam molding technology based on the preplasticating-type (so called piggy-bag) injection-molding machines. By introducing means for continuing the polymer matrix melt flow stream, preferably an additional accumulator and a gear pump, the processing conditions become more consistent to disperse the injected gas more uniformly in the polymer matrix. By using this technology, the structural foams have a smaller cell size, a more uniform cell structure, a larger void fraction (i.e., more material saving), less surface swirl, and less weld line contrast.

摘要： Disclosed are techniques that allow users to collaborate in a search. Each user can contribute to an original search and to refining the results of the search. Preferences of all of the users are considered in the search even while those preferences can be kept private. In some embodiments of the present invention, at least two users each submit a search query. The multiple search queries are logically combined to produce one set of search results. The results can be reviewed by the users and refined if necessary. In some embodiments, a search query can be specified by a single user, but the search engine takes into consideration the stored preferences of multiple users (in addition to the search query itself, of course).

摘要： A method for establishing a packet switched call at an access terminal, which is processing an established circuit switched call, enables a user to be informed that the packet switched call has been requested. The method comprises adding a call type indication to a call setup message in a serving network, where the call type indication indicates that the packet switched call is requested to be setup in a packet data radio access network in the serving network (step 1105). A message indicating that the packet switched call has been requested is then transmitted from a circuit switched base station to the access terminal (step 1115). A message indicating that the packet switched call has been accepted is then transmitted from the circuit switched base station to the mobile switching center (step 1125).

Such a network (300, e.g.) includes multiple interconnected access networks, utilizing various access technologies, and perhaps having overlapping, but non-aligned coverage areas. The prior art relies on remote units to originate registration signaling as they move from one service coverage area or registration region to the next, for each of the various access networks. In contrast, embodiments of the present invention utilize network originated signaling to update overlapping networks/network nodes of mobility events of which one access network (120-122, e.g.) is aware but of which other access networks (130, 131 and 133, e.g.) may not be aware.

摘要： A communication system utilizes an interface terminating at a base station (BS) of a circuit services network and a wireless packet data node in a packet data network and DOS over DBM signaling between the BS and an access terminal (AT), thereby permitting the communication system to tunnel SIP messaging between the AT and an IMS network via the BS and a packet data node and to tunnel HRPD traffic channel information and an HRPD identifier from the packet data network to the AT via the BS. Thus, a handoff of a voice call involving the AT may be initiated from the circuit services network to the paket data networking prior to the AT etablishing a call dialogue with the packet data network.
