    摘要： An image forming method including the steps of bringing an image-forming liquid in which finely-divided resin particles are dispersed in a dispersion medium into contact with an image-bearing member capable of repelling the dispersion medium of the image-forming liquid, and selectively applying heat and/or pressure to the image-bearing member or the image-forming liquid by use of a heat-application system and/or pressure-application system in accordance with signals corresponding to an image to be formed to deposit imagewise the finely-divided resin particles in the image-forming liquid on the surface of the image-bearing member, thereby obtaining a resin image corresponding to the image on the image-bearing member. In addition, an image forming apparatus for the above-mentioned image forming method is disclosed.

    摘要： A disclosed fixing device includes a fixing material application unit applying a fixing material to a fixing material carrier, a transfer unit transferring the fixing material onto a recording medium, a cleaning blade cleaning the fixing material carrier after the fixing material is transferred onto the recording medium, and a lubricant agent application unit disposed on a downstream side of the cleaning blade on the fixing material carrier and applying a lubricant agent to the fixing material carrier. Further, before a fixing operation is started, the lubricant agent application unit applies the lubricant agent to the fixing material carrier, and the fixing material carrier moves in a direction opposite to a direction when the fixing operation is performed and to a position where the applied lubricant agent is adhered to the cleaning blade.

    摘要： A liquid applying member and a tool are provided. The liquid applying member includes an applying roller which can stably apply an unstabilizing liquid to a transfer paper. The tool is referable for manufacturing the applying roller. A large number of recess portions independent from each other are provided on a circular circumferential surface of the applying roller for applying the unstabilizing liquid which unstabilizes an attachment state between the toner and the transfer paper to the transfer paper having a toner image formed thereon. The recess portion can be formed by pressing the rotating tool constructed with a roller member made of a material harder than that of the surface portion of the applying roller and provided with projecting portions formed on a circular circumferential surface thereof, so as to engage with the recess portions having a target shape of the applying roller to the raw material of the applying roller.
