The vertical and angular position adjusting device includes at each lateral side of the seat a five-bar linkage including an underframe, a seat carrier bar, a pair of two-arm support levers pivotably connected to the frame, a coupling bar linked between the outer arm of one of the support levers and an end portion of the carrier bar, and the other end portion of the carrier bar being hinged to the outer arm of the other support lever. The support levers at one lateral side of the seat have gear segments formed on the inner arm of each support lever. A pair of arresting levers is linked to the underframe between the support levers and is provided with arresting teeth engageable with respective gear segments. A pair of switching levers is linked to the underframe between the arresting levers and is spring-biased to abut against a front locking surface provided on each arresting lever in order to hold the latter in a locking position. A control lever is linked to the underframe between the switching levers and supports a cam which displaces the switching levers against the force of the spring into a released position in which the selected arresting lever is disengaged from the support lever.

The present invention relates to a device for mounting a switch or the like on a mounting plate. The switch comprises a housing with a housing top side supported on the back side of the mounting plate, a fastening protrusion including fastening means, as well as a plurality of resilient tongues, each having a locking protrusion. The fastening protrusion and the resilient tongues are inserted for mounting purposes from behind into an opening of the mounting plate, with the locking protrusions locking in place with the front edge of the opening. Furthermore, the device comprises a fastening element that can be mounted from the front side of the mounting plate and cooperates with the fastening means of the fastening protrusion. According to the invention the resilient tongues extend from the housing top side substantially in vertical direction and are spaced apart from the fastening protrusion. Moreover, according to the invention the fastening element is formed by a sleeve that can be inserted from the front side of the mounting plate into the opening of the mounting plate.

The guide apparatus includes first fixation devices arranged at one of the two rails for fixing one rail to the motor vehicle seat. Second fixation devices are arranged at the other of the two rails connecting the other rail to a platform of a motor vehicle. Guiding devices are arranged between the two rails. Each rail is provided with at least one hooked part which is in reciprocal engagement with the hooked part of the other rail. One of the two rails is formed as an encompassed rail, the other rail being formed as an encompassing rail, the encompassing rail encompassing the encompassed rail wherein each of the two rails is equipped with a sliding section. The sliding section of one rail faces the sliding section of the other rail, and the rails are manufactured in such a way that in a first, unloaded state of the motor vehicle seat supported by the longitudinal guiding device there is a gap between the two sliding sections, whereas in a second, loaded state, when a load above a threshold value is placed on the motor vehicle seat, the rails deform so that the sliding sections contact and directly transfer forces from one rail to the other rail.
