摘要: A pipe connecting structure is constituted by a milk tap having an aperture to be aligned with a corresponding opening arranged at the top of a milk delivery pipe, and a slide valve for opening and closing said aperture, and a plug-in metal fitting removably fitted to said milk tap and including an elbow pipe. The slide valve includes a slide valve carriage having a substantially circular valve sliding hole and transversal collar insertion holes disposed along the lateral sides of the valve sliding hole, a pair of guide pins projecting outwardly from the bottoms of the respective collar insertion holes, a pair of guides projecting outwardly in a direction opposite to that of the guide pins, a pair of holders for slidably holding the guides collars with tapered leading ends fitted to the respective guide pins of the valve carriage, and coil springs arranged between the collars and the bottoms of the collar insertion holes.

摘要: A method and apparatus for identifying an object having a pattern of plasmon resonant particles (PREs) distributed in or on the object are disclosed. In the method, a field containing the pattern is illuminated, and one or more spectral emission characteristics of the light-scattering particles in the field are detected. From this data, an image of positions and spectral characteristic values in the field is constructed, allowing PREs with a selected spectral signature to be discriminated from other light-scattering entities, to provide information about the field. The image may be compared to a database of reference images to identify or validate the object.

摘要: A milking machine pulsation control includes a microcontroller which generates a pulse width modulated drive signal to control current to pulsator valves, with a high current for pull-in and a lower current for holding. The pulse width modulated drive signal is based on line voltage and compensated for supply frequency. A zero crossing circuit controls internal switching at zero volts to reduce noise. A watchdog circuit resets the computer in the event of latch-up as a result of circuit transients. An over-current shut-down circuit the switches that operate the valve. Synchronism is provided with other pulsation controls. Operator input switches and visual displays are multiplexed to the microcontroller.

摘要: A pharmacy workflow management system including plural counters and a pharmacy workflow management method. In embodiments, the system includes a housing, a first automatic object counter and a cassette dispenser which feeds objects from a cassette mounted thereto to the first object counter. A second object counter counts objects fed from a cassette mounted to the cassette dispenser. A data processing platform within the housing is programmed with instructions that enable the system to compare the counts from the first and second object counters. The data processing platform also provides for management of pharmacy workflow by providing improved control of prescription fulfillment.
