Abstract:
An electrical device includes a body, an electrical contact having a first end for electrically coupling to an electrical apparatus and a second end within the body, and a conductor electrically coupled to the second end of the electrical contact. The electrical device also includes an access region defining a cavity and a surge arrester that electrically couples to the conductor through the access region. The cavity provides access to an interior of the electrical device. The access region may include an insulating projection extending from an insulating body of the electrical device and a conductive cover surrounding the insulating projection. The insulating projection defines the cavity. The conductive cover is electrically isolated relative to a conductive shell that surrounds the insulating body.
Abstract:
A grounding clamp provides a direct connection to ground between a power transmission or power distribution apparatus and a nearby ground plane. As a grounding clamp is being attached to the mating interface of a power transmission or power distribution apparatus, the angled gripping surfaces permit an operator to ground the spade from a distance of live-line tool's length from the frontplate of the power apparatus and apply the requisite pressure to the mating interface, providing an easier to attach grounding clamp and a more secure ground connection.
Abstract:
A method to utilize unscheduled bandwidth in a calendar-based VC scheduling scheme by caching a plurality of virtual connections for processing. A plurality of virtual connection addresses are stored in a cache memory. A virtual connection corresponding to one of these addresses is processed if one of the time periods for transmitting on the trunk is liable to be wasted because no cell is available through the normal calendaring algorithm. A VC cache is added to the VC scheduler in “parallel” with the calendar-based scheduler. When the calendar-based scheduler has a time period in which no VC is scheduled for transmission on the trunk, a VC address is obtained from the cache and that VC is processed. What makes this scheme work is the observation that the VCs that have been active will have more cells to transmit.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a thin die adapted to be used in a press. The die disclosed herein includes a base or backing portion that provides rigidity to the die assembly. The base includes an indentation defining a boarder around the peripheral edge of the base. A thin die is housed in the indentation of the base and the thin die is adhered to the indentation of the base by an adhesive. The thin die is positioned in the indentation of the base so that raised portions of the thin die are facing away from the indentation in the base to allow the thin die to cut into a sheet material. Ejection foam is adhered to the raised portion side of the thin die by an adhesive so that the ejection foam protects the raised portion of the thin die and provides an ejection means of the cut shape out of the sheet material. Also disclosed is a die and press system utilizing the thin die disclosed herein. Included in the system is a die press, which may be a platen die press or a roller die press. The die press includes a cutting pad that allows the die to cut through the sheet material and into the cutting pad, if a platen die press is used. The system further includes a thin die adapted to be used with a die press. The thin die includes a base portion, a thin die portion, and an ejection foam portion, wherein the base portion and the ejection foam portion sandwich the thin die portion so that the thin die is located in an indentation located in the base and is adhered to the base by an adhesive. Further, the ejection foam portion is adhered to the thin die portion so as to protect raised portions of the thin die portion. The ejection foam protects the raised portions of the thin die portion and acts as an ejection means to eject the cut shapes from the sheet material.

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for providing, retrieving, manipulating and using data and information, primarily image-based, in the context of an e-commerce setting. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for presenting content to and using content from first users that is contained in images, to create a flexible and adaptable manner for disposition of items contained in the images to second, or more, users of the systems or internet site which employs these methods.
Abstract:
A process for making cheese comprising the steps: starting with a mil,m composition that has a milk fat content of more than 0.3%, adding a gum preparation to the milk, adding a starter to the milk to form a cheese milk, coagulating the cheese milk, cutting the coagulum to separate curd and whey, draining whey from the curd, and shaping and cooling the curd. The difference over the prior art is the addition of gum to the milk before the starter is added.
Abstract:
A straddle-type personal snow vehicle includes a body frame, an engine, a front support and a rear track drive mechanism that is driven by the engine. The front support may be a front suspension that supports at least one front ski. The rear track drive mechanism may be supported by a rear suspension that may include multiple linkage members. In one arrangement, the track drive mechanism includes a drive wheel and at least a first support wheel. An axis of rotation of the first support wheel is positioned forward of an axis of rotation of the drive wheel. In one arrangement, the at least one front ski is coupled to the front suspension by a tool-less attachment mechanism.

Abstract:
A first appliance for ensuring data integrity in network memory is disclosed. The first appliance includes a processor and a communications interface that communicates over a communication network with a second appliance of the network memory. The processor determines whether reconciliation between a first peer state information in the first appliance and a second peer state information in the second appliance is needed. The first peer state information and the second peer state information track the status of data in the network memory. The processor determines an action to reconcile the first peer state information with the second peer state information based on a positive determination that the reconciliation is needed. The processor then performs the action to reconcile the first peer state information with the second peer state information.
