摘要: A coupling wire guide for intracorporeal procedures that may be coupled to a previously introduced wire guide, thereby permitting introduction of the coupling wire guide separately and identically in a manner that is both reliable as well as traceable. One embodiment of the wire guide includes a main body having a distal end and a tip portion connected to the distal end of the main body. The tip portion defines an axial passageway having a distal opening and a proximal opening, the passageway being sized to receive a second wire guide therein. The tip portion includes a linking member connected to the distal end of the main body to provide a secure connection between the distal end of the main body and the tip portion.

摘要: An endoluminal prosthesis may include a tubular graft extending in a longitudinal direction, where the graft has an inner surface forming a lumen extending a length of the graft. An elongate member may be attached to the graft in a circumferentially and longitudinally extending manner such that the elongate member forms a series of longitudinally spaced apart turns, each turn extending substantially around a circumference of the graft. The elongate member may torsion the graft in at least the circumferential direction and cause the graft to form circumferentially and longitudinally extending folds in the portions of the graft disposed between longitudinally adjacent turns of the elongate member.

摘要: The present embodiments provide an elongate medical device comprising a plurality of strands twisted in a generally helical manner to form a tubular shape having a longitudinal axis. A first strand of the plurality of strands is moveable with respect to at least a second strand of the plurality of strands. Actuation of the one or more strands may perform a medical function or actuate an associated distal component. A working lumen of the tubular member may remain unobstructed for delivery of medical components or fluids.

摘要: A medical device for aspirating and injecting fluid into a body cavity for use with first and second syringes is provided. The medical device includes an outer needle having an outer lumen formed therethrough. A distal end of the outer needle is configured to puncture tissue for insertion of the needle into the body cavity. An inner cannula is disposed within the outer lumen and has an inner lumen formed therethrough. A distal end of the inner cannula is disposed within the outer lumen. A hub has a first hub opening for fluidly connecting the first syringe to the outer lumen and a second hub opening for fluidly connecting the second syringe to the inner lumen. The inner cannula extends from at least one of the first and second hub openings to the distal end of the inner cannula. A method for treating a cyst is also provided.

摘要: A catheter having a selectively variable degree of flexibility includes an elongate tubular outer member and an elongate tubular inner member disposed within the outer member. The catheter further includes a cavity disposed in between the outer and inner members. A tubular braid of filaments may be disposed within the cavity. The outer and inner members are movable relative to each other along intermediate portions thereof when in a first configuration, and are not movable relative to each other when in a second configuration. When the inner and outer members are in the first configuration, the tubular braid of filaments is movably disposed relative to at least one of the outer member and the inner member. When the inner and outer members are in the second configuration, the inner and outer members clamp the tubular braid of filaments in a fixed position relative to the inner and outer members.

摘要: A tube for insertion into a body passageway of a patient includes a generally elongated tubular member having a proximal portion, a distal portion, a lumen extending between the proximal portion and the distal portion, and at least one aperture at the distal portion sized and positioned for passage of fluid material therethrough from the lumen to a target area in the body passageway. The tubular member is structured such that the distal portion is selectively movable between the generally elongated configuration and a shaped configuration. A length of the distal portion is provided with one or more echogenic members disposed therealong such that the distal portion length is visible under ultrasound visualization when in the shaped configuration.
