Abstract:
A polishing pad, platen, method of monitoring, method of manufacturing, and method of detecting using a pseudo window area, where the pseudo window area has a thickness less than a thickness of a polishing layer and a thickness greater than zero.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an audio/video data synchronization apparatus for directly transmitting decoded audio/video data to an external device, without compressing the data, using UWB communication. The apparatus synchronizes video and audio data stored in a terminal without compressing the data and simultaneously transmits the data to an external device using UWB communication, so that users can enjoy high-quality images and sounds. In addition, the receiving end does not necessarily incorporate a separate function for decoding moving images, because it receives uncompressed video/audio data. This makes the apparatus simple and convenient.
Abstract:
In the data transmission method, a MAC layer receives data from an upper layer, classifies the data according to destination addresses and traffic identifiers, aggregates the data by destination address and traffic identifier as a first transmission unit, aggregates the first transmission units having the identical destination address as a second transmission unit, and transmits the second transmission units having different destination addresses in a single frame. The data transmission method allows packets transferred from the upper layer to be hierarchically aggregated by DAs and TIDs and then packaged into a data unit for each destination such that it is possible to transmit the data at an optimal data rate for each destination terminal.
Abstract:
Methods of polishing an object layer and for manufacturing a non-volatile memory device that incorporates such a polished object layer using a specially formulated slurry composition are disclosed. The slurry compositions include a ceria abrasive, a nonionic surfactant having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) value in a range of about 12 to about 17, and water. The nonionic surfactant is selected such that it may be adsorbed onto a hydrophobic layer to protect the hydrophobic layer from the ceria abrasive during a polishing operation. The slurry compositions may have a relatively high polishing rate for a hydrophilic layer and at the same time a relatively low polishing rate for a hydrophobic layer. Thus, the slurry compositions may be applied during a process for polishing the hydrophilic layer using the hydrophobic layer as a polishing stop layer.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for transmitting a packet through a plurality of physical links in a mobile communication system in which a base station controller (BSC) is connected to a base transceiver system (BTS) through the plurality of physical links. The method includes the steps of determining whether a specific service uses at least two links, when there is transmission data for the service; setting up a sequence number in the transmission packet, when the service uses at least two links; and transmitting the packet through a link selected from the two links. The determining step is performed when there is transmission data for the service, and the setting step is performed when the service uses at least two links.
Abstract:
A pad conditioner may include a surface having a first region including a portion having relatively irregular shaped and friable polishing particles, and a second region including a portion having relatively regular shaped and tough polishing particles. The relatively regular shaped and tough polishing particles may be provided on the edge portion of the surface and the relatively irregular shaped and friable polishing particles may be provided on the center portion of the surface.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for detecting a hidden station in a specific station constituting a wireless communication network that includes receiving a frame after a lapse of an idle state interval longer than a predetermined waiting time; determining that there is a hidden station, if a size of the received frame is equal to a size of an Acknowledge (ACK) frame; and determining that there is no hidden station, if the size of the received frame is not equal to the size of the ACK frame.

Abstract:
A system is provided for efficiently allocating a transmission period in a WLAN system. An access point (AP) transmits a PSMP message providing a downlink period and an uplink period provided to each station (STA), and at least one sub PSMP frame indicating a period of at least one of a downlink and an uplink for an STA requiring additional resource allocation. After exchanging data with the AP in the downlink and uplink periods provided by the PSMP frame, if there is a need for additional resource allocation, the STA receives the at least one sub PSMP frame and exchanges data with the AP in the period provided by the each sub PSMP frame.
