Abstract: An apparatus and associated method are provided involving a converter circuit. The converter circuit comprises an inductor including a first terminal configured to be coupled to a power source, and a second terminal. Also included is a pair of serially-coupled transistors coupled to the second terminal of the inductor. The pair of serially-coupled transistors have a transistor intermediate node therebetween. Further included is a pair of serially-coupled diodes coupled to the second terminal of the inductor. The pair of serially-coupled diodes have a diode intermediate node therebetween. A first capacitator is coupled in parallel with the serially-coupled transistors and the serially-coupled diodes. Further, the converter circuit includes a sub-circuit having a second capacitor serially-coupled with an auxiliary transistor. The sub-circuit is coupled between the transistor intermediate node and the diode intermediate node.

Abstract: A method comprises connecting a first resonant converter and a second resonant converter in parallel, detecting a first signal indicating a first soft switching process of the first resonant converter and a second signal indicating a second soft switching process of the second resonant converter and adjusting a first switching frequency of the first resonant converter by a first control circuit and a second switching frequency of the second resonant converter by a second control circuit until a load current flowing through the first resonant converter is substantially equal to a load current flowing through the second resonant converter.

Abstract: A method comprises operating a plurality of power optimizers connected in series between two input terminals of an inverter, wherein the plurality of power optimizers are connected to a plurality of solar panels to form a plurality of power modules connected in series, measuring operation parameters of the plurality of the solar panels, calculating a maximum power flow of each solar panel based upon the measuring, determining a mode transition range based upon the maximum power flows of the plurality of solar panels and configuring a first power optimizer to operate in a pass-through mode if a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) current of a first solar panel connected to the first power optimizer is within the mode transition range.
