The assembly provides a sensor element within a housing mounted within a S-shaped flow channel between a medium entry aperture and exit aperture. A shield is provided upstream of the sensor in a flow direction of the medium. The arrangements provide for a laminar flow across the sensor element causing reduced deposits on the surface of the sensing element for a more accurate sensor and a longer service life of the sensor element.

Each of the slot shaped openings have edges that are overlapping in the fashion of a venetian blind so that the rotational symmetrical arrangement of the openings allows the housing and the exhaust gas sensor mounted within the housing to be integrated in an arbitrary rotational attitude relative to the exhaust gas stream in a pipe of a system.

    摘要: A system is disclosed for indicating when a flow heater used for vaporization of water and heated by PTC resistors as heating elements therein must be decalcified. Within the flow heater a PTC resistor element is located at a water entry and also at a water exit region. A main PTC heater element is also provided between the entry and exit elements. Separate power supply lines are run to the exit and entry heating elements and an electronic circuit is provided which determines when a difference in current flow in the exit heating element compared to the entry heating element exceeds a given value indicative of the need for decalcification. The circuit connects with an indicator which is triggered when decalcification is required.

    摘要: The compensation element is compensating for temperature-conditioned length changes of an object. An injection valve that is fully functional in the entire range of the operating temperatures of a motor requires a device that compensates thermally conditioned length changes of the mechanical components (piezo-electric actuator, valve lifter, housing, etc.). This device should be capable of absorbing great forces and allow a stiff bearing of the actuator. The compensation element (3) has an oil-filled chamber (21) is composed of an actuator-side upper part (18), of a lower part (19) supported on a stiff bearing (valve housing 17), and of a structure (annular seal element 20) sealing the chamber (21) and yielding in an axial direction. Since the compensation element (3) is fitted into an annular holder (4) with little lateral play, every temperature-conditioned change of the oil or, respectively, chamber volume results in a displacement of the upper housing part (18) in an axial direction that is proportional to the volume change. As a result of a corresponding dimensioning of the chamber height, temperature-conditioned length changes of the valve housing (4) and of the piezo-electric actuator (2) can be compensated using the extremely compactly constructed and comparatively rigid compensation element (3).
