Abstract:
An input device that includes a mouse; a mousepad, that includes a sensor to detect a position of the mouse on a surface of the mousepad; a processor; an array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to, when activated by the processor, indicate a position of the mouse on the surface of the mousepad; wherein the mouse comprises a button that, when activated, causes the processor to initiate an action based on the detected position of the mouse relative to the surface of the mousepad.
Abstract:
Utilizing a data cable infrastructure to provide power includes a detector to determine whether data cables in the data cable infrastructure are being used by a data service provider, a circuit to determine an amount of power that can be provided on each of a number of wires within the data cables, and an adjustable power supply of a power system to selectively provide power over the wires within the data cables in the amount determined by the circuit and based on whether the detector determines the data cables to be in use by the data service provider.
Abstract:
In some examples, with respect to augmented reality based virtual dashboard implementation, features of a physical computer system display may be identified. Based on the identified features of the physical computer system display, boundaries of a virtual dashboard may be determined. Based on the determined boundaries of the virtual dashboard, an augmented reality display may be generated for an augmented reality device. The augmented reality display may include a view of the physical computer system display and may further include a virtual reality display of the virtual dashboard adjacent to and outside of the identified features of the physical computer system display. The virtual dashboard may include content displayed thereon.
Abstract:
In an example implementation, a self-cooling headset includes an ear cup to form an ear enclosure when placed over a user's ear. A first check valve on the ear cup is to open and release a volume of air from the ear enclosure when a positive pressure within the ear enclosure overcomes a cracking pressure of the first check valve. A second check valve on the ear cup is to open and admit a volume of air into the ear enclosure when a partial vacuum within the ear enclosure causes an external pressure to overcome a cracking pressure of the second check valve.
Abstract:
Examples described herein include systems, methods, and devices for transmitting a media signal to the remote sensor, receiving a sound signal from the remote sensor, and monitoring the sound signal and the media signal to recognize voice commands.

Abstract:
In one example, a portable speaker is provided. The portable speaker includes a communication interface to receive an audio file from a portable computing device, a machine-readable storage medium to store the audio file, a speaker to output sound corresponding to the audio file, and a management module. The management module is to (i) add the audio file to a queue to be output by the speaker; (ii) analyze the audio file to determine a baseline audio level for the audio file, and utilize the determined baseline audio level to normalize an audio level of another audio file subsequently added to the queue; and (iii) in response to the number of audio files in the queue decreasing below a threshold, analyze metadata from audio files previously or currently in the queue to determine attribute information, and request audio content from an Internet service provider based on the attribute information.
Abstract:
An expandable wireless storage device is provided that includes an interface slot, internal memory, a wireless interface and an aggregated file system view providing component. An external memory, which stores a first subset of multi-media files, can be physically coupled with the expandable wireless storage device using the interface slot. A second subset of multi-media files can be stored on the internal memory. A multi-media file of the multi-media files can be streamed to a playing device using the wireless interface. The internal memory is used as a buffer when the multi-media file resides on the external memory. An aggregated file system view providing component provides an aggregated file system view of the multi-media files.
Abstract:
An example apparatus in accordance with one implementation of the present disclosure includes an actuator to configure a physical characteristic of a peripheral device in communication with a primary device and a controller to obtain user preferences associated with an identity of a user of the primary device and to control the actuator to configure the physical characteristic in accordance with the user preferences.
Abstract:
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a headset is described. The headset includes a sensory input device and a pad surrounding the sensory input device. The pad includes a thermo-electric cooling (TEC) device having a first side and a second side. The first side is to cool and the second side is to heat when a voltage is applied to the TEC device. The pad also includes a cooling layer in contact with the first side of the TEC device and a heat spreading layer in contact with the second side of the TEC device. The pad also includes an enclosing material enveloping the pad.
